Me too. Asian countries sure do love their VIP style busses and minivans. Have we discussed the alien looking Lexus LM500/600 here before?

I looked into one of these packages in Thailand and it was about $80 for a overnight 10-11 hr trip, quicker than if it were by train,
plus it included some snacks and a full meal at a pitstop.

    @MaxTension:

In other threads you've been beating up pretty hard on Teslas and Musk, you said you weren't a fan of electric vehicles at all, you said you wouldn't even refer to them as cars, and you also posted that the badge makes you want to take a dump on the hood. Now you're posting love for them and including some out of context videos.

    Please explain.

    Thanks,
    Andrew.

About as nice as I get.
How far can you take an electric car. Could you make a truck? Could you imagine running out of juice with a truck bed full of stuff, what a mess. The whole Luxury Electric car is just a bad concept and poorly thought out.
Somebody should of pulled the chain 15 years ago. Not to say Tesla did not come up with some innovations. Just bad planning and execution. Then the guy comes out and rips California.
    **** him.

Personally I don't care much about the situation. Just hate seeing dumb vehicles marketed as good green vehicles. Good luck to him in his space rocketing.

Almost every post you've made on FChat has been about electric vehicles, specifically Tesla. It's a bit rich for you to say you wouldn't have said anything.

You don't like Elon Musk. Ok, fine. But if the only reason you're on FChat is to pollute every thread with your gripe against him, then this isn't the site for you.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Honestly the guy seems a little fruity to me. I don't know Musk, Who knows maybe he is a nice guy? I got better things to do. good luck. For not being from California he sure has a big mouth, though. What do you think the maxtension for a vertebrae is?

Please stop polluting threads with whatever "SUPER TROOPER" is and the accompanying off-topic video links. It's disruptive when we don't stay on topic and you have been warned about this already.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

The Super Trooper is a Multi-use Electric Transport Vehicle with a cradle charging system. Backward engineered for the day the batteries go. Able to be switched out for a combustion engine and drive train.

Feel free to talk about the details of such an electric vehicle design that could be retrofitted with a combustion engine. That could actually be a relevant area for discussion.

The opaque references through obscure photos and music videos are not appreciated and have been deleted. Please don't spam threads with off topic content like that.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Actually Forward engineered, not backwards engineered.

Obviously not a car, but cool industrial design, nonetheless. 1946! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Image Unavailable, Please Login Benjamin George Bowden was a British industrial designer known for his Spacelander Bicycle. Originally naming the bike the Dynamo in 1946 he submitted his design in London patent office for a highly streamlined pressed aluminum bicycle. He invented a driveshaft hub that stored energy when riding downhill and released it again when riding uphill giving the boost to the rider of the bike. The futuristic bicycle has a unified look to the body including both front and rear fenders a part of the unified design. Unfortunately British bicycle makers were reluctant to invest in such an expensive product thinking the consumer has a price range of what a bike should cost and wouldn’t want to make an expensive purchase. Benjamin found a manufacturer in South Africa but with the country’s instability and new exporting laws killed the deal.

Image Unavailable, Please Login In 1950 Ben moved to the United States and set up shop in Michigan where he met Joe Kaskie an owner of a custom molding company. Joe suggested to build the bicycle with fiberglass instead of aluminum and also convinced Ben to leave out the drive shaft it simply wouldn’t be cost effective so he substituted it for a more common sprocket-chain assembly. Finally 10 years later in 1960 the futuristic bikes were created in a small city garage that came in five colours: Black, White, Green, Blue and Red. Unfortunately financial troubles seemed to be surrounding Benjamin, distributors began backing out of deals and retailers were having a difficult time selling his bikes. The price for his bike was $89.50 at a time when most bicycles cost between $10 and $30 long before any type of specialty bikes and exercise culture we have today. Because of the low demands only 522 Spacelanders were made before Ben decided to abandon his project. He still had parts ready to be assembled but were never put together. He was working on a new design called the 300 but only a few prototypes were made.

Image Unavailable, Please Login In the 1980s as a retro culture began to become popular these futuristic bikes became collector items and two bicycle enthusiasts, John Howland and Michael Kaplan, purchased the rights to the Spacelander name from Bowden, and have manufactured a small number of reproductions and replacement parts. The first reproduction was sold in 1988 for $4,000. Today one of these bicycles is in the Smithsonian Museum and an original Spacelander bicycle can sell for anywhere from $12,000 to $20,000 depending on the condition.
