Hey yall, I'm down in Austin for the week looking at houses, and came across the 16M for sale at Ferrari San Antonio that fits the bill for me. They won't even take it out of the showroom for me, and I really want to feel exactly how harsh the Scud rides compared to the F430/458 before I take the plunge. It's probably a long shot, but if anyone with a Scud out here would be willing to take me for a quick ride I'd be eternally grateful! John
I’ve got a 16m in ftw. The ride is not harsh. In race mode you can activate the comfort setting. I’d say it’s similar to my pista or 675lt. The sound is intoxicating. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I had a 2009 Scud and the ride was not harsh at all… not near a Porsche GT3 RS. I currently daily drive a 488 Pista coupe so not sure if my opinion of stiff riding cars is accurate lol. The F430 Scuderia is one of the best sounding Ferraris I have owned. Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
We have 3 Scuds in Austin. Not sure I would be able to get hold of the owners. What is your schedule?
It seems most Scud owners will say "it's not that bad", but so many who don't own Scuds say it's too stiff, loud, and too racecar-like. It's just tough to gauge NVH by other peoples' opinions. I think I have a good idea of what it's like, but want to confirm. I'm sure I can handle the NVH but I'm more afraid of buying something that the wife will be miserable riding in. It'd be a car specifically for fun drives and won't be on dinner date duty, so she only has to not hate it.
I'm in TX til Tuesday, and am pretty flexible with my schedule. I spotted a TDF Blue Scud on Lime Creek Rd a month or two back - what a gorgeous color on that car.
Dennis usually has his Yellow Speciale parked up front at the Dallas store. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
