812 GTS production numbers

11,115 total units in 2022. 17 percent V12's or 1896 units. 2% of units were Icona - Monza SP1,SP2:so about 223 Monza's.
1896 - 223 = 1673 GTS and some Superfast which was phased out. How many Superfast ? So, not too many GTS built so far I think?
On another note, mine was at Stage 50 last week and I received a couple of production photos. Delivery date supposed to be March/April. Can't Wait!!

 

Congrats on moving along on your status. My delivery timetable is the same, but my dealer isn't great about status updates.
Anyway, regarding your calculations, don't forget there were 812 Comp and Comp Aperta's produced last year. I know it's not a large #, but certainly some were produced and delivered, further reducing the # of 2021 GTS.

 

Good point ! I forgot they produced some of the 812 C. Congrats toy as well ! It will be a nice addition for the spring/summer !

 

How many of the 812c/cA were "sold" & "delivered" in 2021...I think zero....the total units is regarding sold, not all production...so I believe the 812c/cA "production" is not included in the 2021 total...but a good number of V12s were built in 2021 that were either never going to be used in production (testing, homologation,etc) or were not delivered (but will be delivered in 2022...)

 

Definitely not "0". This was in July and November of 2021, and based on the photos of the thread on this site, those can't be undelivered units that the photos are of.

 

Those do not 'count', one is a dealer demo (and was the 'reveal car') and the other a magazine review test car (and there are a few yellow test cars too)...I presume none of those are intended for customer deliveries, in fact, they probably meet an early demise being used for "crash testing" for homologation in various countries around the world...

 

Let's just agree to disagree. They were produced, and I'm sure they were "included" in the production numbers above, which are for investor purposes and purposely would want to include all cars produced, no?

 

I have a feeling that Ferrari did its Ferrari thing of keeping production tight in the first year or so and then gauging demand and ramping it up on the backend (they have been doing this for the limited V8s since the Scuderia). There were many here who stated the 2000 number when the first orders were being taken and based on initial feedback that number seemed about right but suddenly in the past 6-8 months it seems like everyone who wants one is getting one so 4000-6000 now seems plausible to me.

 

So how many 812SF coupes were built and how many GTS can we expect in total?

 

Production is not in question, the 'record' was the number, 11,115 and it indicated the number of cars sold, that would typically mean Ferrari has received payment from the customer.

Cars hanging around the factory are not sold.

Not sure but I will ask. I thought I may have had a shot (I was told it was possible) but nope. Heard racing history was important and I have done one corsa program and that’s all. Plus I have a decent history but plenty in the by are crush me.

Does this mean we are looking at 3000 or less GTS versions total? Some of those 812's delivered in 2021 was still Superfast versions. It was few, but still.

I just spoke to my salesman. My car is still on the ship from Italy but is expected in the next week or two.

FWIW, he said they have a number of orders that have been accepted by the factory but haven't started production yet. He doesn't see how they all get filled. He said he expects the factory to cancel many of them like they did with the F8. I am glad my car is finished and on the way over.

Official total by the way is 11.155 (so 40 more than LuxRes indicated) and combining the figures of the 2020 report (9119 cars of which 76% V8s and 24% V12s; but on the same page it says 24% GTs, 2% Icona and 74% sport & special series, so something seems to be wrong there assuming that all GTs as well as the Icona's are V12s) with the data of the 2021 report (V8s up by 34,6% and V12s down by 16,1%), I calculate for 2021:
9.328 V8s
1.837 V12s
Which makes 11.165 cars (so 10 cars more than 11.155)

Chet, I agree with you, I see them cancelling a lot of the GTS orders. If I was Ferrari and I was gong to cancel orders, I would start with the least optioned cars so they can maintain the high margin.

 

No real material change between the numbers - cited data is county specific while Ferrari combines markets. Our focus is tracking the major markets so we often don't pursue data from all markets. In general its hard to 100% replicate the numbers Ferrari reports but the splits between models are reliable. Also limited edition cars like Monza are hard to track:

Ferrari EMEA (includes Middle East and Africa) - our cited data is Europe only 5,492 vs 5,118
(to get closer Ferrari's 5,492 - we would need to go county by county - example add the 16 cars Ferrari sold in Israel)

Ferrari Americas (includes South and North Americas) - cited data is USA only 2,831 vs 2,198 (excludes Dec)
(again my cited data is missing Brazil, Mexico, Argentina etc. - example Ferrari sold 13 cars in Chile)

Ferrari China, Hong Kong & Taiwan 2021 - cited data is China mainland only (so no HK & Taiwan) 899 vs 432

In some countries its possible to drill down to capture the number of GTS vs. SF - but its time consuming. Example: In Sweden it appears that 15 of the 19 812 sold in 2021 were GTS.
