Does anyone have an idea of how many F8's (Spider and Tributo) Ferrari will produce?
I know the production run will be much less than 488 and 458.

kidding aside, no one has any idea yet. Factory isn’t going to say. Only thing we know is that it was a planned short run to start, and COVID has made that even lower.

Actually they produced more cars last year then ever before. Also the F8 was only suppose to be a 2 year run and has been extended by another year. Originally it was suppose to start production in mid 2019 and be done in 2021 but Covid extended it, not shortened it. They are producing them thru 2022 until the 296 starts up.

from last weeks report: Shipments grew 22% to 11,155 cars last year compared to COVID-hit 2020 and were up 10% on pre-pandemic 2019…Revenues driven by higher shipments of models such as the F8 family.

Looks like I'm going to need to wait a couple of years for Spiders to hit the resale market.

Ah yes, sales are up - but lots of models being made at the same time. The GTS is on the line, SF90 and SF90S, Roma, Port, and F8. The extension from 2022 to 2023 is meaningless, the amount of F8's (especially Spiders) that came off the line in 2020 was super low. Most mid-engine production in 2019 and 2020 were the final Pista's that were running late.

I'm sure down the line we will get a reasonably accurate figure, it will obviously be less than 458 or 488 total production. Maybe 20-30% lower? I also don't think it matters, each of the various models (458/488/F8) has their own unique pros and cons.

Wouldn't "Scarcity" keep the pricing higher? As "mkraft" said there are only 11 for sale by dealers.

Looks like F8 will be made into 2023 as they won't be able to clear all the orders before the end of July.

I would think that from a volume perspective that would be producing/selling more Roma and Portofino's?

Only 11 listed by dealers on the Ferrari website. A lot more for sale that they can’t advertise and 24 listed on autotrader with the cheapest at 409k. They sell/produce a ton more F8 than anything else. The 458/488/F8 has always been the main selling car.

They may cancel some of those F8 orders vs. delaying the 296 production.

I've been trying dealers to see what they have inside 6 months that they can't advertise. Some of the asks are insane if they have cars at all.

I'm with you; had the books stayed open another week I'd likely have one on order. I know a lot of dealers were upset because a walk-away F8 order didn't necessarily translate into a 296 order. I'm curious how demand forecast vs. reality is working out for Ferrari on the 296.

I placed my F8 Spider order on September 26th, dealer called me two weeks later to say the books were closed.

He also warned that dealers have no control over Ferrari fulfilling all the orders that were submitted.

My ordered was submitted and accepted at FNA, but Italy does what they want.

He said "You are probably 80-90% likely to get a car".

As a Ferrari stock owner I pulled the annual report and looked at some interesting numbers: (Please double check my assumptions)
Also announced F8 production into 2023 (which starts after the summer break July/August)

    2021 Numbers...
    • 11,155 cars world wide
    • 2,831 total cars to USA
    • 69% are sports cars (SF90, 812, F8)
    • approx. 1953 sports cars to USA
    Can we assume that between (SF90, 812, F8) 60% are F8???
    • Total USA F8's in 2021 60%(1,172) can we say less than 1,200 in the USA in 2021?

Ferrari sold in the USA approximately 1,000 458 per model year between 2010 and 2015 (5,000 total)
From the NHTSA brake recall data
    Roughly same for the 488
1,200 F8 per year USA sales seems about right allowing for some growth
