    My 599 has been back and forth between my homes in NC and FL. Back in September I had it transported from Naples to the mountains. Unfortunately the facility in Naples that stored my car "lost" the fabric cover for the spare tire. I have the rim/tire but no cover for it. Does anyone have a picture of the cover? I wonder if I can source a cover from somewhere. Any ideas from the 599 braintrust?

    I am curious about the colour of your car, from far it looks Nero Daytona, but as you enlarge, more dark red like vinaccia ? which was rare in the States, only 2 known.

    It's actually Bordeaux Pontevecchio which was a standard Maserati color the first owner special ordered for this 599. I can confirm the color because I bought a '13 Maserati Gran Turismo for my girl in the same color.

    Can I bother you to take a picture of how the spare is stored? Do you know if the full sized challenge wheel fits in the trunk? I feel like it doesn't so I could never figure out the logistics of a spare on the 599.

    Thank you Taz. I do try hard to keep my cars in top shape. It’s important to me that the next caretaker is happy. Learned that habit from my Father.

    I am at the airport flying to our NC home today. I will take pictures of the spare this week. It’s a space saver spare. A full size rim/tire won’t fit in the trunk.

    If you remove the tool kit, battery charger, jack and the folding trunk floor trim I guess a full size rim and tire might fit. To be honest I really don’t like driving on any space saver spare. I would probably call a flat bed to pick me and the car up!

    Sorry, but got over excited.

    Have owned 3 Maseratis and still currently own 2. Here are the colors:
    Blu Pozzi (quattroporte), maybe the only one in existence as special ordered Ferrari color.
    90th anniversary Blu on a gransport coupe, maybe 1 of 3 worldwide from what I gather
    Blu Argento, beautiful light blue, but sold car

    Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks so much for sharing. My brother had a QP in Grigio Silverstone with tan interior. Lovely cars even if a little fragile. I like the Duoselect in spite of the reviews. Do enjoy your Maseratis!

    Thanks 599gto. I love the QP and it is actually a lot more reliable and durable than my MB after 90k miles.

    Didn't mean to hijack the thread, but the case in point i am trying to make is the op's 599 in Bordeaux Pontevecchio is actually a very rare breed and absolutely gorgeous.
