I have not driven car much in last year but just took it out and found this weird white powder all over both sun visors and black plastic of roof center console where reading lights are. What the heck is this stuff?? I don’t recall ever cleaning the sun visors with any type of liquid cleaner which is the only thing I can think this may be related to. Any thoughts of what it is, or ideas how to remedy the mess?

Is it possible that it is some sort of mold? It looks like you live in humid country and I suppose that is possible.

I used to see something similar in aircraft cockpits. It wasn't mold (aircraft cockpits are usually extremely dry and well-ventilated), but, I was told, it was something that pilots were exhaling or excreting (salt?).

Of course, if you live near the sea...

I changed the trunk seal, old one had a ton of this white powder along the inside that ended up all on the carpet of the trunk. I’m guessing it’s dried out adhesive of some sort.

‍♂️No fire extinguisher. And it’s not blow. Lol. I have no idea what it is. I’ll try and clean it up and see what happens.
