Another reference from ND that shows F PN 147281 = Bosch 0280160738

    http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=138956936&postcount=16

But the earlier F PN 137960 = Bosch 0280160715 has a different style (barbed) fitting (and associated plumbing) -- see post #4 in this thread.

Make sure that you compare each to your old ones before ordering.

Nice write up.... I had the same issue with getting that nut off as well. It's a 15/16 if I recall correctly.

Also of note.. if that fitting isn't lined up correctly and you can't finger tighten it on the rear connector... back it off and get it lined up. It should go on finger tight. Then you can tighten with wrenches. I used a pair of vise grips to hold the FPR in place while I tightened the rear line with a wrench to keep it from moving.

and so you don't add time to the job.. make sure you don't lose those bolts for the mounting bracket. I ended up having to pull the airbox to stick a magnet tool up there to find the one bolt that dropped under the plenum. A little bit of a panic moment.

I also found the best way to get at this thing was lying on the motor.. I just couldn't get enough leverage from the side. I guess you could say I really get into my work.. :D

On my 93 I have the newer 3.8 bar FPR... so everything is screw on. Bosch no longer makes the FPR but the replacement is Standard Motor Products PR298 Fuel Injection Pressure Regulator

I'm jealous. I wish the 360 had an external fuel pressure regulator.

I did not see where you mentioned the FPR specs. I remember that there are two FPR's used on the 348's and Mondial T's. What should we install; the old lower pressure regulator or the new higher pressure regulator? Does it make a difference?

Newer cars have the 3.8 bar while the older ones were at 3.0 or 3.1. Pretty sure Ernie used the newer 3.8 bar in his 3.0 car.

If you do that you'll have to replumb the connections because the 3.8 bar is all screw on connections. The older version has a barbed connection.

Thank for this great write up

Could someone give me the length of the steel braided hose from the fuel pressure regulator to the injector and the size of the thread as I want to make these hoses redone ?

Hey guys Great write up and comments - really helpful. I’m facing this job once my new FPR arrives but one question I have is should I remove the engine cover first to provide access? Having had a good look at the position of the FPR it is pretty hidden and getting to it looks really tricky with so little spanner room. Any advice would be welcome and thanks!
