The time has come to say goodbye to my baby. I recently acquired a new (458) Baby and I’m totally in love and feel like I will neglect my 308. Please help me find a good home for her. I have had the privilege of owning & driving her for 5 glorious years. She was my first Ferrari purchase, and I have to say the attention she gets 37 years later just blows my mind away. She has been 100% reliable and has never left me stranded. AMAZING car for her age, and to be honest I’m going to have a tough time seeing her go.

1985 Ferrari 308 QV. 53,xxx miles rossa corsa with tan interior. Engine Runs great, and everything but the A/C works as it should.

New belts, Including Timing belt in Sept 21
    New Hill Engineering tensioner bearings
    All fluids changed
    New steering rack
    New Exhaust hardware
    New battery
    New starter
    New alternator
New seals and gaskets (last summer)
    New plugs
    New spark plug wires
    New Brakes (2018 at 46K)
    New tires (2018 at 46K)
    Birdman fuse boxes
Compression checked over the summer and was perfect.
Power antenna replaced (But never tuned it on in 5 years, preferred the engine sounds)
My Ferrari certified Mechanic told me the A/C was converted, & only needs to charged.

Exterior of car is in amazing condition given the year & miles driven. It does have a few normal minor wear and tear with a few stone (Pics to come) chips. Interior of car is also amazing with one minor scuff mark that I did on the driver’s seat getting in and out of the car. I inquired and it will cost less than $500 to repair. I have the original tool & jack kit. Sorry I do not have any of the Owner manuals.

Asking $85k, please No lowballing as you know the value of a sorted out 308. Car is located in Smithtown, NY. Mileage may marginally increase as I still occasionally drive her to keep her purring like a kitten, and until my 458 gets wrapped & sorted out.

$85K? This is not BAT :p

Beautiful car, best of luck with your sale.

My pea-brain tells me that roughly $10K of any worthy Ferrari between $85K and $150K covers the seller's reluctance to get rid of the car. Anybody with me on this?

Briefly put, all of the 308s are "UP" and going higher.....maybe.......:D :D

My back has been against the wall for FOUR yesrs of unemployment, and "the last Ferrari" will be the last thing sold, after I have liquidated everything else!!
So whoever gets mine has the buy a mountain of "stuff", it's all "good stuff" but you cannot eat it...

It's widely known (or perhaps not) that the 308QV is a pretty "sweet spot' in the evolution of the car.

328s are perhaps nicer, certainly heavier, and the earliest 'glass cars set the Marketplace worldwide when one changes hands.

The seats and the center console don't match. What is the story there? Was it like this from the factory?

That was the case and part is leather and part is vinyl, so it's not "all one cow!"
But also a Leatherique conditioning will sometimes look like that too.

If you want a "perfect" interior at this point, you find the vendor to do it, and do it.
Good reason to make the consoles all black like the early cars

Yes I should be able to get an engine pic by tonight or tomorrow. Didn’t have one on the PC I was listing the car with.

Don’t know what to say. That’s how I bought it and never really questioned it at the time.

+1. I think if posted at $80K, it will be sold pretty fast. I probably would have jumped at that price when I was looking for a 308QV last September (but a 360 mucked that one up:)).

Are non-original, non-factory fender shields glued on? Can they be removed pre-sale? Thanks! :)

I'll have to check the R&R's on that but I do not think its out of line if a member posts up their $.02 on a asking price, a ton of people do it here, + or -. As for 'Who Cares', that is what a board like this is for! Some may care and some may not.

Hi I honestly don’t know because that’s how I bought the car, and I really liked them. However, depending on agreed upon price, and if they can safety come off. I will have no problem having my Detailer take car of that if time allows before you have the car shipped.

Someone told me to use a hair dryer and fishing line to take them off. To be honest I never wanted too so I left them.

Please let me know what else I can help you with.

Peter, it's not a direct comment about you. It's all the nonsensical comments about cars most people don't know anything about yet feel obligated to share their thoughts. Did you perform a PPI on the car and were you asked to evaluate the car. Do you have direct knowledge you are sharing about this car as a prior owner, otherwise you are just spouting your opinions and frankly I could not care less what your opinion is unles I in a separate PM or thread ask you.

Giving general information is helpful to folks who are asking for advice about, in this case 308s and there is an entire section in this site about 308s and thier values. But, if I'm selling something I don't need unsolicited and innane comments about what you paid, or would pay. You are not even in the market, so why do I care. It's just, IMO rude.
