LOL, Merc probably forced FIA to announce this during the Ferrari reveal. Of course it had to be done prior to the blessed (miraculous?)!return of the great one tomorrow and why not F-up the press on Ferrari’s unveiling. Probably Ferrari leaked the pic yesterday to counter what they knew was coming.

In any case the timing smells and is another example of how Merc are bullying the FIA in order to keep the great one accumulating his string of fake records.

He’s still the 2021 WDC and the HAM isn’t.

Are the unlapping rules and procedures being changed as well?

How about driving off-track to gain an advantage? Any changes to those rules?

They didn’t even reassign him? A far bolder move than I expected, and one that did specifically call out the problems in how he handled the final lap (release of some cars and not allowing the unlapping cars to rejoin the pack before restarting).

Don't worry about all that, just know its confirmed he broke the rules and decided the championship.

    Ha-ha.

See, anyone can generate imagined BS like those claiming Masi “fixed” the outcome, implying he had premeditated intent.

Still doesn’t change the fact that Merc are bullies. The timing of this just before the “blessed return” is not coincidence.

Hope everyone is happy and looking forward to see how the new regime will deal with incidents like HAM at Silverstone getting a slap on the wrist for almost killing Max.

In the meantime—and since this IS FERRARIchat—check out the cool looking new F1-75.

They said he will be offered a new position within the FIA , TBA.

Diversity and Inclusion was my half joking suggestion, but Safety is more likely?

Without Masi Hamilton didn’t stand a change last season.
I think Mercedes and especially Hamilton are going to have a hard time without their special treatment.

The rules apply to everyone except HAM....or whining and gnashing will ensue from someone named after the dog in wizard of Oz. strangely fitting.

okay…that’s what I was expecting. The structure of the RD position and the access both RBR and Merc had to him contributed to the final race predicament. The article I read didn’t say anything about reassigning him though…previous ones predicting the outcome did.
