So after the 90s, production numbers started to go up quickly.

There were more 308s manufactured than the 7,177 Testarossas cited above.

Over the 10 year 308 production run, Ferrari averaged about 1,300 308s/208s per year (13,241 308s/208s made between late 1975 and late 1985). In big categories, these were roughly:
    308s w carburetors: 6,212
    308s w 2 valve FI: 2,552
    308s w 4 valve FI: 3,790
    208s: 987

Additionally, over the 4 year 328/Turbo run, Ferrari had ramped up to making about 2,150 328s/Turbos per year (8,558 328s/Turbos made between late 1985 and late 1989).

The 308 was Ferrari's first car that sold in large numbers but "large" is relative to the era. Its success can be misinterpreted as being common; both Testarossas and 308s are rare cars, particularly relative to today's (still low) production rates (in 2021 alone, Ferrari made 11,155 cars).

Brian A … Indeed. And a “classic Ferrari market consultancy” missed that!

It is interesting to confirm the F360 saved the company.
