Absolutely. He even put it in a legally binding (purchase) contract that he was selling Jim DP003 - a home built replica which he also signed. Cut and dry.
He certainly has audacity and incredible affront to continue showing this car as the real thing all over the net and at Amelia Island with all the evidence that proves it's the replica he agreed to buy and bought. Experience does not seem to have taught him and his team anything, even the basics, regarding tyres and their technology. Owning and driving high powered cars qualifies him for nothing.

There are two camps here. One group says Mr. Glickenhaus's car is a fakey do. The second group likes Mr. Glickenhaus because of all the other car stuff he does, and they refuse to admit the car is a fakey do. Unfortunately for the second group, they do not have any evidence to support their position.
Well, I would not say he's doing ok by passing off a proven replica off as a long lost valuable historic racing car by lying and deceiving people all over the net and at shows like Amelia Island. What does the fact that he drives some nice cars have to do with the subject of this thread, which is whether the P4 replica he bought from David Piper contains the remains of Ferrari #0846? One of the main problems with this thread is that many like you have been posting in this thread for years without reading and taking in the main points of the thread or the proven nonsense/fantasy 0846 document here. It's been stated many times in this thread, even by Mr Glickenhaus, that David Piper has stated the car is a replica from day 1.
It has been a long and noble quest to convince every last dumbass out there! I'm sure you will carry on till your last day. Image Unavailable, Please Login .
re·mains /rəˈmānz/ noun plural noun: remains the parts left over after other parts have been removed, used, or destroyed.
Are we doing definitions now? fantasy noun US /ˈfæn.tə.si/ UK /ˈfæn.tə.si/ [ U ] a type of story or literature that is set in an imaginary world, often involving traditional myths and magical creatures and sometimes ideas or events from the real world...
Interesting how the Bromcount certificate of origin which came as part of the sales documents and disclosures for the sale of the replica DP003 to Glik from Piper lists all sorts of remains with specificity of numbers and yet says absolutely nothing about 0846. But again, in the imaginary world we can pretend remains of 0846 chassis still existed post crash and somehow made their way into a documented bitsa replica, and Piper just forgot to disclose that when pointing out the engine, gearbox, and other parts sources/ID. Facts? Evidence? There's simply no place for such things in this thread Opinions and beliefs over-ride all of that nonsense. Please try harder to keep up, okay?
None of the evidence pro or con matters, nothing said here or in other forums matter. the only things that matters is what is proclaimed from a small town on the outskirts of Modena. They’ve made their decision perfectly clear a long time ago. Case Closed.
I disagree that an administrative decision in period precludes a wreck from ever surviving (I’m talking about any wreck from any factory- I’m not specifically referring to this 0846). That said, the subsequent revelations, discussions, research- and yes, words of Ingenere Forghieri, make it abundantly clear that what JG has is categorically 100% absolutely NOT 0846. He has a fable and a lovely recreation with some period parts from NOS or other cars- but no part of 0846. There is no reason or evidence I am aware of that any part(s), much less any inch of the chassis of 0846 survive, anywhere.
I agree the car, whatever it is, is a cool car. I wouldn't kick it out of bed even if it ate crackers.
I still find it amazing that 0846, whatever it is or isn't (I'm not an expert to weigh in) still looks miles better than 0858 which is a P4.
