This used to be a good gathering of Ferrari owners too at a great venue . We were the superstars ! Haven't been there for years but IMO always the best small show in DFW. Everyone laid back. Best venue in DFW. I might bring an evile British car this year but it would be neat to see the Ferrari crowd too. https://allbritishcarday.com/
David, Is this something older Ferrari ( 80's - 90's ) or all Ferrari would attend? Right now, FCA DFW doesn't have anything on the calendar that day and it might make for a nice event... as long as YOU personally promise we can come without upsetting anyone! Steve
The website lists "Aston Martin · Austin Healey · German · Italian · Jaguar · Lotus · MG · Micro Car & Scooter · Mini · Morgan · Motorbike · Porsche · Rolls/Bentley · Rover · Triumph · Other British & European (Need 10 vehicles to make a class)." In the results for previous years the newest I saw was mid 90's. So the only thing is if manufacture dates are a thing.
I havent been there in years and am chomping at the bit to attend this year. In the past it was anything Ferrari. The Ferrari group was a big draw IMO but we were in the open area not in the shade of the trees. Dont know if thats a big deal to most. We survived with plenty of elixirs and umbrellas. In the past it was in the summer. May 1st should be perfect. And yes I can persoannl guaranty you can go or else will cheerfully refund any and all monies that I personally collect from participation With intrerest !
we had some epic Ferrari showings at this many many years ago. it has been almost 15 years since I've been.
In the past the FCA used to have a pretty good showing, including a shade tent and banners. But that was back in the day when it was at a slightly different venue at the park. As far as "newer" goes, I've seen modern FIATs there in the past few years. So... 1. David is towing his Ferrari out there 2. Rob is driving the spider 3. Tillman is driving down in the 328 4. I will bring the 308 5. Pantea can bring the Cali T 6. Chris can roll in the 308 ( or any of his numerous British cars ) 7. 8. 9. 10. 4 more Ferrari to create our own class! Jim, Jano, Ron, James or Mike could bring something... maybe a race car, who else? Do we want to register as a car club ( FCA DFW ) or maybe Ferrari Chat ??? Steve
The “its two months away” in me says I will be there, but the “its next weekend” may prove otherwise…. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Let's say for the sake of argument that someone has an 8 year old 458 spider. Would that be accepted as part of the Ferrari class?
I've reached out and asked if they will create a Ferrari Chat or FCA DFW registration option. Will reply back, David G is listed as the Grand Poobah for the event! Steve
Hey I need a flatbed trailer. I can pick one up and then drop back off in DFW. Just a s***load of work and expense to unmothball and drive the car just to put it back in storage. If not I can actually DRIVE the Alfa Quadrofoglio out there. Its kinda cool too for the modern Italian stuff No ? Boxers are so cool. That era's Ferrari supercar. Superior to that cheapo V8 288 GTO thingamajig. Flame suit on. If I cant get mine out there lets all peer preasure Kurt into bringing his !
I've got a trailer, so with your help, I can "bring something"!!!! I'll see if it will have a load of hay on it around that time. Boxer is still in Rockwall, waiting for parts and last bits of assembly, but it's been test-driven, Beach Style - no doors or glass!!
They have not replied yet, so maybe we all just register under Ferrari and go with it! Kurt & David for the win! We should have a strong turn out! S
We're clear for hay, tractors, and building materials, so I've got to renew the tag this month, and David has to have something that'll pull it all...... and then, there's getting it off of the trailer and back on at the event. I think we'll need a short loading dock (or something that will function similarly), or some looooong ramps.
If we are talking Boxers, I will loan out some aluminum ramps for this event. However, I suggest modification so that there is no risk of a ramp lip falling off the trailer. I can assist with the ramp mods.
