4137 GT, 3527 GT and 0931 GT. PS: I hope fakes and replicas will be parked in a far away corner......or dumped in the lake! Marcel Massini
They shouldn’t be there at all, but what’s remarkable is that they’re not at least listed as reproductions or replicas. As a fan of concours, this totally erodes the integrity of the entire event. I can’t understand why the selection committee would allow this, knowing that they risk relegating Amelia Island to an event that “once was great”.
I agree 100% If they are allowed to display they should be in their own section and CLEARLY labeled as a recreation or replica. Ultimately I think this ends in a massive lawsuit when someone buys one of these thinking it’s the real thing only to find out it’s not. By displaying it at their event they are helping spread the fraud. What they are doing is no different than a museum showing a fake Monet me not labeling it as such. Apparently ticket sales take priority over authenticity. Sadly I guess that’s our new world, style over substance.
Where the NART Spider? And the 375mm spider? I understand there have been quite a number of ("last minute) changes or cancellations, unfortunately. Compared to the printed program. The 375 MM did not come, the 250 TR59 Spider Fantuzzi didn't come, same for the NART Spider. Instead there are now much more (more or less modern) supercars/hypercars but generally less cars in total. Marcel Massini
Some chassis numbers and tags of the real and genuine Ferraris today in Amelia. NO fakes and NO replicas here. I heard there are much less cars and people than normal at Amelia and was told it looks very empty compared to normal. Probably at least a third less. Lots of upset clients about the way Hagerty was treating them. Marcel Massini
car count did seem low. as did the vendor count. crowd was great, beautiful day. I didn't notice a lack of people (or traffic getting in/out)
I guess. Just curious as to the reaction of the event promoters called a replica a Ferrari in the program.
Duesenberg was gorgeous so that’s not a huge surprise but I was wondering about that DPi….much better race cars in the field
