    Over the past 2 years, yes. I'm still trying to figure out why the Alpina(540i engine, automatic) brings more than the original Z8(M5 engine, manual transmission)?

    Because the market is still completely irrational. Interest rates going up will sort it all out ;)

    After the speculators ran up the prices on the top end of the market (Ferraris) back in late 2013 early 2014-15, they had no more cards to play. So why not an Alpina, honda Civic, Supra, ah screw it "everything is now collectible!" You have a 1994 911 porsche with 150k miles on it and some rust? That's a rare car man! That's collectible! 70 grand minimum price I tell you! Or even better this Civic. That's an even wiser use of funds! It's a collectible man! LOL
