My detailer who Ive know for years and count as a friend tells me ppf often accentuates flaws in the paint- maybe its also possible some other flaws get hidden? Its always pros and cons.
For this car it was more about smoothing it out so it was wet sanded then will be buffed next. I don't know much about this stuff, I just provided the capital so they could build a nice shop and I can get my cars taken care of.
I have a Tailor Made appointment on April 6 and maybe try and visit Zanasi then as well. Will ask them the rough production schedule for the GTS as given the process I can’t see mine being done until sometime second quarter next year. The reason being, once you do the Tailor Made session, there’s a bit of back and forth to confirm final details. A slow process as nothing is done directly - in my case all communication goes to the regional Ferrari office then my dealer then me and then back the same way - amazingly slow in this connected age. So it will take at least a couple of months to confirm the spec - then you get final pricing and sign on the dotted line. Depending what you order it seems to be 10 - 12 months after that you get the car.
Order placed and deposit paid last July, still green 10 as of today. No end in sight…any chance it might get cancelled by the factory due to capacity constraints? Car is well spec’d in interior but no expensive CF options.
10G indicates you have a factory allocation but the specification is not yet locked, normally that would indicate your car will be built. But, anything goes and until your car is 10R it could conceivably be cancelled.
My understanding is that Ferrari is going to try to build all of the orders it has. That is why they stopped taking orders. This information is current as of last Friday. I wouldn't sweat it thinking that your order might be cancelled.
1,000% agree with this comment! Todd is one of the best in the country. Ceramic coating over defects do not hid them ….is makes them sealed there to look at forever.
Congrats. Still with shipping one never knows. Any photos yet? I suspect your right that the majority are Atelier and TM. Curious for those who know - are all TM done at Zanasi or what part ? And does one get photographs at the same stages with TM? Or just at end. I’m told I’m beyond 30 now but wasn’t thinking I’ll have it before September earliest. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
True, shipping could be a problem, but as I am located in Europe, about 1.200 km's from the factory I'm not to worried. At the end of April I'll trailer one of my cars to Italy and visit the F1 race in Imola on the way back. Thinking of asking the dealer if I can pick up my car at the factory the day after the race. Would be nice, although I think the car will easily be ready by than (considering we're at the painting stage already) and probably already at the dealership by that time. Todd is the best. I've had seven brand new Ferraris, drive them all year in NW Ohio. I get too many miles on them so I trade in every 3 to 5 years. Todd has done every one of my cars since 2010. From the factory, One Cali had a 10 inch buffer mark in the middle of the trunk lid where the buffer guy took a smoke break, leaving the buffer sit on the car. One Cali the A pillar was almost white from buffer marks. Todd fixed all of that so the paint is perfect before they coat it! Currently have a Portofino and a GTC4Lusso with a 812 GTS coming in June or July this year, and Esoteric will do that too.
Todd is currently working on my new GT3. They send pictures everyday. They take out the headlights and door handles etc before they apply the clear bra. Pretty amazing work they do. I have a GTS coming sometime in the future with a special paint color and Todd will make sure it will look amazing. The GT3 is PTD - Iris Blue metallic and what a difference in the brightness of the metallic they have been able to do.

Just got word of 10G, and the build price estimate, for the TM GTS. Was hoping to get the price list before it was totally confirmed. Some pricey options that I may not have included in the final, but man it’s awesome.
I put deposit down quite late… 30th September and have an Atelier Appointment at the factory for July 2022… done some initial specs at the dealer but so indecisive hoping walking down the line makes my mind up seeing them all… Elettrico with Grigio Chiaro + azurro stripe/stitching Elettrico with Nero + Giallo stripe/stitching Silverstone with Nero + Giallo stripe/stitching Silverstone with Nero + Tricolore with Rosso stitching Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not trying to be rude...but if you’re going to the Factory for an Atelier appointment on what will undoubtedly be an all time great Ferrari you should be able to do better than grey with black leather interior, no?

Been sitting Status 70 since January 31. Two of the three pics have posted and anxiously awaiting final completed pic. Seems 2 months on the water is common at the moment so hoping they are behind updating my status and it just 'jumps' to Status 90 or beyond any day.
