I already have one. I have not paid a lot of attention to the market over the last couple of years as it had corrected downward after a big run up around 2015-16. I think they have been going for about 200k for the last few years. This one may be an outlier because of its low mileage. Seems market is running up again but still not at previous highs.

There are so few sold it is hard to plot a trend. My gut feeling is:
    >30kmiles: 280k
    Low miles or FHP: 350k
    Hgtc: >450k

And with this uneducated guess, I still think it’s way undervalued for what it is!

Hmmmm...mine has 24k miles. Some soul searching may be required if those numbers are accurate...

Over the years I've read so many stories of guys thinking they made a killing and regretting it later when they missed the car terribly and to rub salt in the wound , it continued to appreciate.

I've been offered crazy money lately for my 95 355 GTS - sometimes tempting but then I ask myself what would I buy to replace her? Anything I want is still way more than I would get even with the spike for ANY manual Ferrari- Especially 95 355 GTSs - So a) I would miss the car dearly and b) what would I do with the money? Probably put it toward something potentially less enjoyable that cost more.

Fortunately I don't need to sell so selling just because the market is hot isn't worth it to me.

Just my .02- And I'm no financial whiz so more astute folks on here probably have different thoughts.

    Cheers :)

Don’t do it since u know the outcome already! :)
There really isn’t anything you can replace a Maranello with. I guess 6spd v12 Aston’s and bmw 850 are similar enough on paper but I’ve never daydreamed of having one.

My wife brought up this exact topic when I mentioned the ridiculousness of this specific auction. I said at some point aren’t all of them for sale but there is absolutely nothing at any price I’d want more than my 550.

    It's not the same -

I believe a 575 manual sold in Cn around 2020, from a car dealer (Volvo dealer ?), for a bargain price.

With the B&T car, the color combo and collectable miles = nice return for the seller.

Yep I remember that one, I think this is it:

The buyer didn’t even follow through. Must be kicking himself now, what a bargain in the retrospectoscope. FHP with carbon options in an uncommon color for 575.

    That is a bargain ^^.

I believe the Cn dealer car was argento. It was listed from a large volume car dealer - Volvo or Toyota ?

The 850 is like a Volvo in comparison. 200 horses less, quiet and complex with lots of trouble. But they look good!

I have both a 850 and 575. The the 850 is much much slower with much worse handling. I adore both but very different character cars.

The combination of manual and FHP in 575M is very uncommon; this is the second one I have seen documented. There were 80(?) 575Ms with manual shift imported but how many with FHP is a number I haven't been able to determine but obviously more than two. Apparently dealers discouraged customers from ordering FHP because of the brake squeal.

If you don't mind, could you share what the offers were? Just curious, I know someone that has a 95 355 as well.

Sure - Was offered $160K-ish from a dealer and $185K from a private party - From another thread a fellow FChatter posted the following results - My car is in excellent condition - I am the 2nd owner - BUT it has 46,000 miles on it which drops the value a bit on the market compared to the ones listed below - Only flaws are some leather pulling around the windshield vents and on the seat belt retractors - normal wear on seats - Otherwise perfect and original except for Capristo exhaust. There is also a very informative thread entitled “F355 Market” that has been tracking 355 values for a long time and LOTS of very knowledgeable people on there – Hope this helps – Cheers

In regards to valuation and addressing Category 1, let's take the 2 top recent 355's, which have traded at all time highs (in the U.S) and see what we've got.

    1. Red/Black 97 Berlinetta. 15k mi. $220k

    https://www.gaaclassiccars.com/vehicles/34550/1997-ferrari-f355-berlinetta

    2. Red/Black 95 GTS. 19k mi. $240k.

    https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1995-ferrari-f355-gts-2/

Car 1 is seems to be fully stock but with a black valve cover. Doesn't seem to be "restored." More likely well kept and hardly driven.

Car 2 seems to be mostly stock, but with a Tubi muffler and after-market sound system. Incorrect floor mats, stickies not really addressed, and cracked air vent. Wrong center AC vent and a hole cut out in one of the lateral covers. Not concours level, but a decent starting point if one wishes it to be.

I think the market is looking for specs first. Easily reversible mods are acceptable as if one wants to restore these cars to 100% stock, it wouldn't be a big hurdle. I've seen someone sell a stock 355 muffler on Offerup for $150 and even then I had to think about it [IMG]. They do take up space [IMG]. If one is passing up a car that is hard to find simply because it has after-market muffler or wrong floor mats, or a hideous headunit that person will never find a car at the price he wants to pay.

Both of these top of market U.S cars were not Classiche certified. They were cars with desirable specs and low enough mileage. Red, GTB/S, and manual.
