Now that Ferrari is fastest in the morning session today, it is clear that they will win all the races. May I change my vote??

Not convinced and therefore staying conservative.

I’ll bust if that car takes one win apiece ;)

Most overtakes in 2021 Vettel / Alonso / Raikonen , just some info . With that being said, Leclerc and Sainz just dont seem like they have the killer instinct that it takes to be champion, I can feel that in my gut, especially when I see how the top 2 drivers do what they do. My mind takes me back to Rubens Barrichello, he never seemed to have that killer instinct, with that being said, he did very well as the # 2 driver , I wonder what the numbers say when you compare him with todays line up at Ferrari. Rubens took 2nd in the title chase, Im not sure how many times, but I know it was more than one .

    Thank you

    History suggests otherwise:

Leclerc has proven he can handle BOTH Hamilton and Verstappen.

Im looking forward to this season, lets hope there are 4 teams fighting for the title, all the way to the last lap in the last race . I tend to be a fan towards drivers rather than teams, I was all for Vettel and Alonso when they were at Ferrari, and I wanted either of them to win . Now Im a fan of Max, and I hope he does well this year, Im not a fan of LH, but I do not discount that he is now part of the best F1 drivers who ever lived club , no one can deny that, other than Vettel and Alonso , there are no drivers in the line up that are in that club . Alonso won Le Mans, twice, so hes right up there , now thats a f***** driver.

    Thank you

  7. Why didn't you add Sebring too?...Buemi and Nakajima?

Remind me again tho'.....who was Toyota's competition......

(edit: Oh. Never mind. I just remembered. Nobody.)

    You're welcome. ;)

And speaking of Sebastien and Kazuki, to add injury to insult (yeah, I meant it that way), unlike you, I did a little research before making the following statement (I like not to make a fool of myself by making false claims):

At both 24 Heures du Mans ('18 & '19), Fernando was slower than his 'mates.
Both years, his fastest laps during the enduros were about a second slower than Buemi's , and.....nearly Three (2018), and nearly FOUR (2019).....slower than Nakajima's.

That's not a very great (as you put it) "f***** driver" to me.
Buuut.....I don't make things up to suit my agenda.....sooo.....what do I know.......;)

Happy to see that this thread gives us all a good pre-season feel, but as passionate as we all are, we don't necessary have to agree about this or that, pro or con...
Let's please stick to the topic of how succesful our beloved Scuderia is gonna score! Let's hope we're (almost) all wrong and the reds win about 20 GP's this year!! Thanks so much!

  10. Alas, 'rather presumptuous of you, that. "We're" not all Ferrari fans. Fer instance, I'm a fan of them all. ( I know, I see your "almost". :p)

And if the red cars win that many, wouldn't that be the initiation of "boredom"?.....such as Mercs domination I keep reading about on here? Image Unavailable, Please Login

Let's hope some more teams get their sheet together, and a few are competitive at the front, so the rules don't have to be tightened even more for putting on a "show". Image Unavailable, Please Login

    :)

The last time that L H and Merc had any real threat other than Rosberg and Max, was in 2018 when Vettel was with Ferrari, the two Ferrari drivers are going to get their asses kicked as long as LH and MV are in the line up , its really that simple. Merc did win the constructors title in 21 , didnt they. VR 46 would do better at Ferrari then what they have right now. And for most of the rest of the field, other than a few, they all need to replace their drivers because they suck. Mick Schumacher should be replaced, he doesnt even belong in an F1 car, same as the Japanese driver whos always crashing, your telling me that cant get anyone else ? Good grief . So when the season starts , and MV and LH are in form, is one going to keep saying that its the car for the next 10 years ?

    Thank you

  12. I see you've conveniently left yourself an out in case Red Bull and Mercedes get it wrong, eh? In that case it would be MV's and LH's fault.....for being off form, correct?

If another/other team/teams gets/get it right as Mercedes has done, and RB and Merc don't.....YES, it will be the car, as always has been the case in F1, being x number of teams' different designs.

You have yet to acknowledge the videos of Leclerc handling Hamilton and Verstappen just fine in Monza and Silverstone during the 2019 season, probably because they doesn't fit your bizarre narrative.

    3,
    with luck (lots) 4.

Ferrari is simply not with it as it always has been in their history.
    UP, then DOWN. Always.
That's what I dislike about F1. To much dominance, to the point of ...boring.

It is like seeing a great movie 70 times, at the end, it is not so great anymore, yawn.

Even I, the most die hard fan of Ferrari, got fed up when it won, and won, and won...ad nauseam.
It is like a dictatorship, you cannot wait for it to end :)

    Regards, Alberto

As I'm sure everyone has already read, Leclerc said he's targeting 5 wins. Time will tell how optimistic that is.

It might be pessimistic. Charles seems to be his harshest critic.
