Since you mention stats, you may as well say that 3 of the 4 teams not scoring points were British: Aston Martin, McLaren and Williams.
Red Bull is also based in UK.
So it was some debacle there !! Like the charge of the light brigade !!!

Weird that not a word from RB or Ferrari about aggressive driving, just racing. I could get used to this with MB in the midfield

To be honest, both Leclerc and Verstappen gave each other space, and there was no aggression shown.

That may be the result of the FIA new guidelines about driving standards, and I presume the stewards were watching if they were respected.

Conspicuously absent was either of them crying about the other's dangerous driving, man. It was a welcome change.

Ferrari will have to capitalize on these first few races. They've got advantages both car and PU wise, and this is the time to get as many points as possible, because RBR and Mercedes will sort their cars and be back in the mix.

Hopefully the teams upgrades come in the next few races and pad the advantage for the first half of the season. In the meantime, the balance is the most important thing right now. As long as the car stays balanced, has good power, and we make very few mistakes, we'll be in good shape.

Charles was Alonso-esque today. Max has no real answer to that. Alonso is the best wheel to wheel/vehicle placement driver on the grid. Charles may be opening our eyes to his skill as such.

That car’s potential is unbelievable. Quite the sling in the eye to the goliaths. Good for them and I see them grabbing a few podiums.

Man, what a race! That duel with Max was great, the ferrari was just quicker today. Best part for me is that an "off weekend" for Carlos is a tenth off Leclerc in qual and 10 seconds back in the race. RBs biggest issue last year was only having one car in the fight so if that starts to happen again they'll be in big trouble. Perez was pretty quick this weekend and still unable to bother Carlos. Ferrari need to keep getting maximum results while they have a car advantage as I don't see merc being .7 off the pace for long. I was not expecting a 1-2 today, and the win was on merit but realistically should have been a 1-3.

Yuki only person with Honda/Red Bull engine that made it, must be because he can read the Japanese owners book.

Just finished watching the race on my DVR, had to come right here and say congrats to y'all and it's great to see the board in a cheerful mood. It's been a long, long time coming.

First thing I thought when Max 'flamed out' was that the bells will be ringing in Maranello tonight. And then seeing Perez spin out of the way,...Ferrari 1-2, no way. Really liked how Chucky handled back to back Max-attacks and regaining the lead. And excited for Haas getting out of the cellar and into the points.

Disc: I've been a Lewis fan since 2007 but it's gotten too long in the tooth. ;-)

Well my fear for them is that they might fade just like they did their very first year when Grosjean scored points on first race

Oh my god, that race was amazing!

The new regulations have clearly worked. The close racing between Leclerc and Verstappen was sublime to watch. :D

And a Ferrari 1-2? Perfect.

I wonder what happened to the Red Bull engines. Really bizarre the way they DNFed like that.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Lap 17 was amazing. What a great race with an obviously great result.

Happy to see Mercedes mid pack. Lewis got very very lucky today

Yes...once the fuel wears off at least. I found the opening laps underwhelming to be fair. Following seemed reasonably close but nothing really happened until the first round of pitstops. Could be drivers taking it a little easy exploring the new tyres in racing situation possibly, but IMO to do with being way to heavy on fuel.

Regardless...after that it became much better :)

Yup, i too observed the same. They were very sluggish to move around in the initial laps, due to weight from the fuel. After lap 17 onwards, things were sought of driveable. I say sought off because they are still slow than what we have been used to.
