True. But it was basically just a quick update made so that they would have the same power and gearbox. Ferrari was afraid that people would shy.away from the Porto if it had less power. Sent from my SM-G930F using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Any idea what engine a Roma spider or Roma update would use? I would guess it would be a V6 setup similar to the 296.
One of the things I have noticed with the new designs is that Manzoni and his team are designing the cars to work both as a coupe and hardtop spider (with roof off or on). SF90S is a perfect example. Roma will probably be another such design and this is the reason why the back of the car is much more curvy than the front.
August 10th I was informed (in secret so I can not name the source) that a Roma Spider with a soft top will be introduced soon. Ferrari does accept canibalization of the Portofino, but they expect that the total sales volume of the V8 front engined convertible will rise. Seems many customers want a softtop convertible... as do I. As a kind of hommage to the F355 and F348 spider. Hopefully this is true....
Hearing Roma Coupe and Portofino orders finish (i.e. u cant order one) very soon - so assume a Spyder needs to be available soon or dealers will have nothing to sell
Could you please share where you heard that? Is the Roma Spyder a hard-top convertible? or a soft-top?
Does Roma Spider have rear seats ? Is it a hard-top convertible? Will there be rear seats in Roma Spider? Will it be a soft-top? or a hard-top convertible?
argh.. so this year they close the book on the Roma?? I am planning to get one but won't be possible until a year or two from now. Darn.
In contrast, my local dealer just invited me to test drive a Roma in early April to consider ordering one.
Roma Spider is finished but due to ongoing heavy demand for Portofino M it will only be presented in the beginning of 2023. Marcel Massini
I really don't see how they can distinguish portofino from Roma spider. Would be same customers for both cars
Except if the Roma Spider is a true Spider with a soft top, which may not attract the exact same range of customers who prefer having a retractable hard top.
