First time ordering from dealer, what are some dealer options not on the public site?

  1. My family got an invitation to order the 296, this will be our first ferrari from the dealer. We have cars with the airbrushed shield and alcantera seats. What are some interesting options in the dealer customization list thats not on the website's customizer? I'm more interested in the airbrushed shields. Thanks!

No problem share your spec when you submit it!

  5. for sure! definitely going airbrushed shields and assetto fiorano. Most likely going rosso imola/classic tan interior with silver livery, silver wheels. The 296 has a few classic design elements (roof spoiler from dino, engine bay cover loosely based on the testarossa) so I want to get a classic design. On the other hand, the azurro california with silver livery looks stunning too...

  7. I'll have to see how it looks. I'm afraid of it being too 'busy' haha I wish they offered more color choices than the two for the assetto fiorano livery. then I'd do rosso corsa with the rosso dino livery! the silver is just such a high contrast, especially how it's on the front intakes and back panels, that I don't want to take too much away from the rosso corsa.

I dont like the half black and half colour of the mirrors. All one colour would look the best IMO. It doesnt make sense that looking from the side the black is on the colour body side level and the paint is on the window black.

  9. you're completely right, I missed that entirely. Thanks for the input you saved me! haha I'll have them painted full rosso corsa. I'm not gonna go black for the laferrari look. How do you feel about airbrushed shields? I have them on my 488 spider and they're my absolute favorite feature lately. I adore them on the 599 alonso, seeing that big painted shield that cant be ignored ties the whole car together. I also realized you can get italian flag seats from the dealer, so I'm 100000% throwing those in as well. How can I not!?

If the painted shields do come in different sizes well yes but if they are only one size its better fitted to bigger cars with bigger guards like the 812.

Also a heads up as i tell everyone. The OEM head lining is crap. Opt for leather or alcantara. Think carefully on the combination alcantara / leather / carbon , and colour. A bit of everything looks confused . Many Pistas adorn all these. Not my look. Ild prefer leather or alcantara. If you go carbon its all carbon or none. This to me is the rule both inside and outside.

Spend a LONG time with the configurator if I was you.

Pretty sure you can go atelier route and get custom livery option. Someone mentioned it in another thread. Expect it to cost a premium over the $20k AF default livery.

Leather headliner looks great in static demo cars.

If you’re going over the top custom, I’m a huge fan of the dreamlines they can do inside on steering wheel and paddles, as well as on exterior on CF trim around the car.

  12. is atelier offered for first time buyers? I'm not gonna go over the top because I'm going to sell this car back to the dealer when the time comes, I'd much rather go big on the GTS too. With the drop top the 296 will look great

    Yes, you can do it.

Basically, anything is possible without going Tailor Made other than special interior fabrics, materials and styles and non-standard liveries. Pick any paint you want.

  14. thanks good to know!

If you’re going to flip for a GTS shortly then I wouldn’t bother with a lot of options that you’re likely to not recoup on resale. Don’t do any atelier options, and I’d even avoid the airbrush shields given their cost.

My game theory is that if the car resells at a premium you won’t have a problem selling with a more basic option list, but the higher the msrp the less the chance buyers will bid that up. On the other hand if it depreciates right away then the higher the MSRP the higher the loss.

  16. I feel what you mean, but I'm still most likely getting the airbrushed shields haha. I'm definitely not doing any atelier for now, I wanna build a good relationship with my dealer and wait for something really exciting to come out. Carbon interior packages do well at least

    Go for it! They’re beautiful.

  18. I'm planning on giving it back to the dealership anyways, and I figure even if the profit from that is cut by a few grand because of the shields, I dont mind as long as it helps build relationship with the dealer to show that I dont mind throwing a few extra bucks their way for and hope it shows I take the appreciation of the cars seriously by getting classy and aesthetically pleasing options that compliment the design instead of trying to make something wild-looking
