Strange. I was lead to believe that his charge from 15th to 1st in Brazil had nothing to do with the car (which we all know was slowed down intentionally by the FIA and Netflix) and everything to do with Lewis being a goat.
Other than following not much has changed. The cars are heavier and less nimble. Not the pinnacle currently.
What a race that was. Sad for Lec that he couldn’t hang on for the victory. But the battle with Max was epic viewing. Shame it all had to be manufactured by that utter clown, Latifi. Why is it always him? Why does he have a super license? He clearly can’t handle an F1 car and is totally unfit to grace the grid. He’s worse than Stroll. He may even be worse than the other, now ex, F1 clown - Mazespin
The risk for HAM is that Russell—who is getting the job done and exploiting the car’s potential with little fuss—will start to be seen by the team as the lead driver or at least HAM’s equal and so will at least equal treatment. A bit like Ocon with Alonso.
Weeeell, lets not go saying this yet. Long season. But so far, we haven't seen any mindless wrecks yet.
Helmut Marko: "I think it's more beautiful to fight with Leclerc and Ferrari. I know we've only had two races, but I don't think it will escalate like Mercedes."
Ferrari were just a little bit too conservative with their downforce level cause they thought the tire degradation would have been stronger. Binotto still playing it safe, which is smart at the start of the season. That engine will also be turned up later on the season, looking good. Leclerc the best driver two weekends in a row and a healthy lead in wdc.
It's called not having a PU that's giving you 6 tenths+ of an advantage anymore. Without the ability to just drive by people on the straights, Hamilton runs into people and gets stuck behind slower cars for long stretches. He wasn't driving "brilliantly" last year like some said. He had a huge HP advantage over Max. And no way Hamilton would've controlled himself under the pressure like Charles did if he was in his position today. He'd have tried an insane chop block, or tried to get the position by cutting the course. Max is far from a saint, but he's controlled himself thus far.
Nahh, Elton wouldn't have done that, he would simply make a call to Pirro and ask how was it possible for someone to overtake him without being penalized!
I'm loving every minute of Mercedes struggles. Ferrari didn't celebrate Red Bull's misfortune last week, because it's a gentleman's team. Mercedes are the schoolyard bullies that can't win or lose with grace and are toxic. Good riddance to their dominance.
I hate those helmet cams, no one sees ****, the visor distorts the whole image, just put it outside the helmet, image will be much better!
What a bafoon this Marko character is, so last year Charles was crap, a myth debunked by Carlos, and now it's great to fight with him....
I don't expect they will end up the year like that, but so far so good, and it's a very nice image for a change!
A friend of mine was recently with Brian Redman and Brian said todays F1 is 80-90% car and 20-10% driver as compared to 50/50 back in the old days.
