    Your a funny guy:)

If a toyota dealer gives you a courtesy car when your Toyota Yaris is in the garage I think Ferrari should, specially when you own 2 Ferrari’s and where looking to buy a third.

the statement of the gt2 rs and gt3rs was not an argument, it was basically answering to a fellow forum member saying Ferrari’s are the best. If I was looking for the fastest car I wouldn’t be driving an FF and 458.

You are defending the brand in an non objective way. Ask 100 ppl of all ages if they would expect a Ferrari dealer to provide you with a courtesy car while your car is at the dealer getting work done for 8k. I think most would answer yes.

On another note, the problem was related to a faulty electronic actuator.
    PART NUMBER: 281146

Do you guys know if it should be covered by the warranty? Note, they charged me 4299$Cad for the part when scud Erica Ferrari website sell it 1400$us

My statement did not seem to go with your response. I don’t have a GT3 or GT4. Boomers and Millennials have some things in common, like complaining. Gen X here, we just kick ass….. LOL

I think you may have just miscalculated what it meant to have Ferrari. Purchasing a Ferrari is one thing, maintaining it is a completely different matter. Complaining about the price difference between online third party and dealership is just, what is the right pc word, yes unrealistic.

And thanks for calling me a funny guy. Canadians are so polite.

Lastly, why are you even comparing Toyota to Ferrari? Either you are a troll or someone who should just stick with Toyota.

My Cayenne Diesel is a perfect DD. Why anybody would drive a nice car in these urban jungles we call cities is beyond me.

Why are you so one sided? Seriously you make no sense. Try being objective for once before writing stupidities.

so I am not funny now?

Anyway, I think you just have a different expectation of Ferrari service. You know what, another guy decade ago was really angry at Enzo too, so he built his own brand of sport cars. Maybe you should do the same before calling people one sided because they tell you stop measuring Ferrari service against Toyota.

    Please stop whining now, boy!

If I was in Modena probably I would! The reality is Ferrari did not have competition 20 years ago and they were not a public company trying to push cars out like Toyota. Now they have competition and have to sell more cars every year to please investors. If they want to sell more cars they need to adapt their service or they will crash. You sound like the ceo of companies like blackberry and Kodak who got destroyed by the competition because they had your attitude.

It’s pretty sad you expect a company like Ferrari to offer poor service. Would you expect the same off Pagani? koenigsegg? Rolls Royce ? Porsche?

Any and all complaints would be no surprise to you had any effort been put forth to educate yourself before purchasing.

The Ferrari vs Toyota courtesy car example makes no sense to me.

-If- Ferrari had a fleet of their least expensive cars for loaners, they would depreciate the entire cost of a Yaris each time it went out-

-If they gave you a Yaris, you would complain it's not a Ferrari- so lose/lose proposition on their part.

That’s where you are wrong, they could of gave me a fiat 500 and I would of been happy.

let me ask you and old man that’s sleeping. What are you driving everyday? Is your Ferrari your daily? And if it’s not, why isn’t it?

The GT2 RS better be faster! It cost 10% more and is years newer than a 488!

We're engaged in internet magazine racing, and real racers (yes, they are here) are just mocking you and me. You're making me hate myself right now.

    ***
The honest answer (which you should know is):

It depends - if I was driving them, probably not. What track, tires, weather, condition, options, heck, even software version nowadays all play a part.

Only the noobiest of the noobs pull the "Well Car and Driver says this car does X on this track so it's got to be 'faster' 100% of the time!"

I've seen GT3s sometimes go faster than 488 at my local track (Laguna Seca) but usually, the 488 slightly edges them.

Both are great cars, what's causing me to scratch my head is if you don't care for Ferrari and love Porsche, why are you still on this site?

    Rennlist is not down.

I drive a Maserati Quattroporte as a daily driver, the generation that was under the auspices of Ferrari 100%. - Hasn't stranded me yet. I've owned her for almost 4 years now. The worst thing was a bad alternator (like my Toyota) - and like the Japanese car, I replaced it myself for $450 and some elbow grease.

    For the second time:

    What dealership is this?

The parts shortage has not just affected Ferrari, all automotive parts have been backlogged.

You first made a claim that used Porsche is immune from parts corrosion, (I did not debate you) now you're making the claim the house of Stuttgart is also protected against supply chain issues?

I'm having a very hard time with this thread. Your original premise is that Ferrari should not be a daily driver because of reliability, poor service, lack of loaners, and parts availability.

What makes the 458 immune to your 4 original problems? Are you saying if you bring in your 458 into the dealership for service, it will have no problems, you'll get good service, they'll give you a Fiat 500, and have all the parts you need?

If a Swatch dealer gives you a courtesy watch when your Swatch is in the service, I think Richard Mille should, specially when you own 2 Richard Mille’s and where looking to buy a third.

We can clear this up very easily. What dealer is this?

So son, my few dimes to you, and remember, there is a reason why the vehicle is called a courtesy vehicle - it's just a courtesy, not mandatory. One probably should be courteous first in order to be treated with courtesy. And just FYI, the reality is that I did get a Fiat 500 as a courtesy vehicle for my 458 and even a Lusso for my FF repair. I drove that Lusso for like 2 weeks.

That entitlement attitude will run out your luck very fast in real life.

I don't know, Bat might have a point.

To my horror I wasn't offered any Grey Poupon yesterday in the VIP lounge of my Rolls dealer whilst they changed my wiper blades for $54,679. Tragically I had to send Consuela out for it on foot. #theworldrevolvesaroundme

What's odd is some dealers do provide a loaner on major repairs, especially if the customer requires a car. I

    There's also something called "Uber"

    @Batmobile99

I assume you're in Canada - what dealership is causing the consternation?
