And here he is on the track testing the F50 for Quattroruote magazine, looks like he went round very gently... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hello F50 Community, I was wondering if anyone on this thread would know the owner of this Black F50, and if he/she has sold it or not? https://www.motor1.com/news/237819/ferrari-f50-nero-daytona-sale/ There was a link for the sale of the car years ago, but it went down and I could not trace the specific car or seller. https://www.motorgt.com/for-sale/ferrari/f50/1995/HMM_1928712 If anyone could assist, I wanted to provide this information to a friend who is interested in purchasing if still available. Thanks, Abel
This car was sold / brokered by a US dealer a few years ago. IIRC, the car was not originally painted black, but standard Rosso Corsa and then refinished in Nero by Classic Coach in NJ.
Ah I see. Thank You sharing that. I would figure several people out there could easily paint the car black and claim it as a 'Nero Daytona'. I wouldn't even know how to tell what was legitimately factory or not. I'll make sure my friend knows. He saved up BIG time for this car. Thanks.
A 25th anniversary factory-fresh-present for an F50 I had for over a decade and enjoyed over the years so much. We start with a full engine out Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
After detailing and cleaning the various external parts of the engine and gearbox and doing the major service steps, the engine is mounted back. All the ORIGINAL (note the capital letters) screws and bolts and other parts including the four corners are removed and deeply cleaned-up and re-freshed. WOW, thanks for all the detail pics! What an OCD-satisfying process this must be right now... Will you be zinc coating any parts that aren't already coated?
Yes the F50 Lego is really inspiring and challenging… …and, yes, very satisfying and it gets you real close to the car. The parts that needed zinc coating to bring them back to how they looked when new, did get it.
Yesterday at Ferraris At The Park event at Lime Rock Park, CT, USA. Could it be 104234? Image Unavailable, Please Login Photo courtesy of ct_car_photos (on Instagram). Click here to see the full post.
I don't think so, 104234's dashboard material (below) is lighter and tight, whereas the car at Lime Rock has a darker and loose dashboard material. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Are the red fabric seat inserts prone to fading, like so many Ferrari seats, or is the picture just a function of the lighting?
They do fade a bit if the roof is off and the car is left outside in the sun for significant periods, but not as badly as the red material on 288 GTO seat inserts.
My F50 won’t start after taking to the gas station. Won’t turn over. All light are on and working. Checked fuze for starter and relay clicking any ideas?
Eesh that really sucks It's probably best to make a new thread for it, but honestly I'd start with checking the battery...
Alternator... Had this issue. The Startbutton is wired into the Aletrnator circuit. What sucks is, that it takes some time to remove and reinstall....
Solenoid could be sticking on the starter, often a long metal rod etc held against the solenoid down in the bay and a few taps with a hammer on the end of the rod can shock it can and free it up on most cars.
Does anyone have any reference of what spring rates does an F50 have? Dampering curves? By pure supposition, and because the F40 was something like 2.1-2.5 Hz front/rear, I would bet for something in the order of 2.5 Hz ride frequency. Any info? Thanks
The workshop manual has all of this, and a ton more cool information Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Many, many, many thanks man! Is there a chance to get that workshop manual in pdf to have more technical info about the F50?
Yes, owners manual is easy to find on internet, not so the workshop manual. Would be very helpful to have some Cad details of front/rear suspensions, among other technical data. I only have this Cad from rear suspension. Couldn´t find front ones: Image Unavailable, Please Login
