Something seems to have gone terribly wrong, but as @bloomberg wrote: I am sure that Palawan will solve that problem swiftly and to your satisfaction.
Apprantly it’s a binding issue with glue, they must have split some, returning for replacement Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Received my Porsche Silver Steeds copy from Palawan Publishing yesterday. This book is really nice, the quality is right up there. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Expect my copy today in Luxembourg, had to pay EUR 3,57. Apparently, the EU is not that united. You pay this, I pay that, it's all nonsense! Dieventuig noemen we dat! Anyway, I hope you enjoy your copy all the same!
I have the Aston V8, big, lavish, good production, but does not grab me, if you have an Aston V8 grab one if not, spend elsewhere, 1000 pound book will go up in value no doubt. The Aston DB4GT however if you can do it. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yesterday, I received delivery of Palawan's "Klemantaski Himself Portfolio Edition" from 1998. I have to admit that I had overseen that title for a long time - how wrong I have been! It's an absolutedly fantastic, two-volume work. I had a hard time deciding whether to buy just the Himself book or the Portfolio Edition. And I am very happy that I took the right choice! The Portfolio book has been produced to a very high standard of quality being in a fact a facsimile-like recreation of a private photo album. On top, it has been personally signed by Klemantaski. I am really enthusiastic about that buy and it instantly climbed up to one of the top ranks of my personal "Best Palawan Book Charts".

At Catawiki, "Aston Martin V8" is for auction for a starting price of just 480.00 euros! No bids, yet: https://www.catawiki.com/de/l/57201207-bucher-book-the-aston-martin-v8-1969-2000-by-russell-hayes-palawan-press-2019-aston-martin-nach-dem-jahr-2000 Meanwhile, I have been very, very happy to get "Sixities Motor Racing" in as-new condition for just 260 GBP at eBay
FYI: The cars may cater to eccentrics, but the book, 'The Bristol Aeroplane Company Car Division', is an absolute delight.
Good to know! So far, I didn't recognise the book to be of interest to me, but now I will take a closer look.
I quite often see Palawan books, that are still available direct from Palawan, at higher prices elsewhere for second hand copies. I imagine a lot of people don't think to check their website.
Agree pays to be informed and know base price on their website. Slowly building my Palawan collection, apart from Silver Steads all purchased second hand at or way below list price. Picked up second copy for potential trading illustrated Aston-Martin for 250 pounds last week. agrre with Bloomberg Bristol book is an absolute gem, the quality of the silver tone images on quality paper is a joy to the eye. And I adore my copy of Setrights' Drive On! Expertly written, and a wonderful outlook on all things with wheels.
At their Geared Online Spring Auction, Gooding & Company just sold three Palawan books (prices incl. buyer's premium): Aston Martin DB4GT: 3,750 USD The Jaguar D-Type (clothbound edition, no. 82 of 250): 1,813 USD The Jaguar D-Type (limited leatherbound edition, 23 of 50): 2,125 USD. Interestingly, the difference between the Jaguar clothbound edition and the limited edition is not that large ... Palawan is selling last copies of the leatherbound edition für 3,000 GBP while the standard edition is at 1,750 GBP.
I won lot 134 and just received invoice, as well as 24% buyers fee, a further 10% California sales tax is added , so add that into calculations as well.
