I took delivery of my Spider few weeks back, what a beast, I am absolutely loving the car, can not stop driving it. A friend of mine pro photographer took a lot of photos for me, he did a brilliant job capturing it but still photos don't do this car justice. I have a lot of shots, I will just post a few here, hopefully you will enjoy them. Stunning car, enjoy and stay safe. Mine has been delayed, dealer just told me most likely June now, looks like you got your just before the delays started to hit
Thank you very much for the comments, I am absolutely loving and enjoining the car actually a lot more than I thought I would.
In what sense you’d like to hear a comparison? Other than the Spider enhancing the experience due to the open top and looking much better IMO they seem the same to me, driving characteristics, acceleration etc., I haven’t driven the car without having the top down yet.
I was more wondering about the AF v non-AF on the spider. I have an AF coupe which I am changing for a spider that I haven’t spec’d yet. I really ought to order the car with lift to use it on roadtrips (had a few issues with roadtripping our current car without lift). But the AF pack is part of what makes the SF90 so different to other Ferraris. I have been really impressed with the multimatic dampers and how sporting they make the car. Wondering which is worse, no lift or no multimatics. If the non-AF character is very different I should probably put up with no lift.
How about keeping the coupe and ordering SF spider normal woth lift? Normal car is great GT car, best among current Ferraris including v12s minus space. Had normal coupe and now AF coupe. I should have ordered AF coupe fromthe begining and order normal spider… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Put up with no lift! Different car… I cancelled my Spider slot, a AF Spider makes no sense to me, normal spider makes sense but it’s not a patch on an AF set up car, and I have one of these in Coupe, which is what the SF90 is all about.
I test drove non AF coupe and personally I wouldn’t buy a non AF car, I’ve never had height issues where I felt I needed a lift. Sorry I can’t be more of a help.
I hadn’t really considered that, mostly because two SF90’s seems an extravagance with other cars in the garage that will stay (basically our TM cars will all stay). These are Speciale, Pista Spider, Superfast and Competizione. Also have 812 GTS which may or may not stay. I guess I need to choose what I will use more and what gives most options in the garage.
It's as purposeful as any open top special edition. I'll do AF on my Spider because it looks better and the car is all about performance. Dropping the rear window is the whole point of ordering the Spider for me.
Wow! Nice collection it is! Yes two SF90 is too much. For spider, going to AF is too much and I am not sure how the roof will hold up the harsh ride. It will make a lot of noises later on… Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
