    After a long 18 months, the car is finally in the garage. It has been worth the wait. I'm thoroughly enjoying my 2022 F8 Spider. Although this is the 2nd Ferrari I have owned, this is the first Ferrari I have specced.

    After collecting the car from the dealership, it spent a few weeks getting PPF. Then had to wait another 2 weeks before being able to give it a good wash and have some photos taken.

    Mods:
    • Full PPF + Ceramic Coating
    • 55% Window Tint
    • Ti Lug Bolts
    • Carbon Fiber Center Caps
    • Lowered 10mm
    • 11 and 17mm spacers
    Rosso TRS is basically like a 4-layer pearlescent/mica "Rosso Corsa". I wanted a bright red that could really show off the lines of the F8 and wouldn't have orange hues. It has quite a bit of depth in the sun and tends to look more like wet paint. It's also quite stable and looks fairly consistent from any angle.

    NOTE: This paint color is difficult to properly capture. Additionally, the uploaded images appear to have lost some definition.

    Thank you! Your posts regarding speccing the roof liner in leather (ULEZ) helped inform my decision to pull the trigger on that option. Money well spent.

    While tastefully specced by the previous owner, my Nero Daytona and Cuoio 458 was missing options that ultimately ended up mattering to me. It was missing carbon seats, lifter, premium sound, and had zero carbon in the interior or engine bay. I ended up adding carbon fiber to the interior and engine bay of my 458 (MyRicambi) and it made a world of difference to me. The cabin just felt like a more special place to be and I found myself staring at the engine bay far more often. I was tempted to add an aftermarket sound system but ultimately decided against it.

    When I had a chance to spec my own car, I decided to go all in. I also decided that after owning a black 458, I wanted to experience having a bright red Ferrari. The color etched on my brain growing up dreaming of one day owning a Ferrari. While red Ferraris are common and admittedly red and black is not an adventurous color combination, I wanted to make my red and black Ferrari a little less common by selecting one of the more rare reds.

    Now that I have scratched this itch, I’m looking forward to exploring more of the color palette with future F cars. But for now, I love this car and I’m happy to have been able to play a role in bringing a new Ferrari into the world.

    Unfortunately, we didn't capture great pictures of the interior ... but as requested:

    NOTE: The dealership missed a couple options (I have another thread on this).

    Missed:
    • EMPH - Stitched Cavallino in the Headrest
    • FLMA - Colored Mats with Logo

    I've learned to live with the missing stitched horse in the headrest and the mats have been ordered. Unless you want to send me to therapy, please no comments about how the seats would look better with the stitched horses in the headrest!

    As with any of the 3 and 4 layer paints, pictures don't do it justice. What's worse is the images I have uploaded have been degraded and have lost some brilliance/detail.

    Red might be a common colour for the Ferrari but in 2022 there are very few red colour cars on the road, its not the 1980's.

    A red Ferrari stands out like the proverbial balls.

    Great colour and spec, truly well thought over and executed.

    Again well chosen spec. I like the restraint of embossed cavillinos on headrest as the car pops as it is. Subtle and well chosen details are the difference between tasteful and bold and gaudy.
