I couldn’t spot any delamination issues in the windows, but they can be hard to capture on camera. Kinda rare to see a 355 without delamination issues with original glass. Poor touch-up job on the lower front bumper. Will most likely need a bumper repaint, which is normal. Funky looking tool box. My 99 had zero delaminating issues. I think that GTS is perfect spec for most fires at least one of them pay that kind of money I do think the bumper paint is kind of ghetto, that could have easily even touched up, wet sanded and gone away. I love all the recent transparency on buttress cracks, it seemed like everybody was ashamed to talk about them like an STD, and now with all these ads, it's now documented proof that every single 355 either has them, but had them repaired (sans spiders)
Lock this damn thread and start a new one before we see page 356! Sacrilege!!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
^ The front bumper touch up is fugly. Could still be sanded back/airbrushed/blended by someone good. (assuming it's base/clear)
Pics 1, 2, 3, 16, 17, 32, 76 ...... door and rocker look lighter than quarter (to me) Agreed the passenger side is more noticeable but still I think, is lighting a big factor? 21 to 22 is a big difference. Similar paint thickness on both quarters so, what do you do? Looking at photos of my old 99 GTS....to me, both sides lower door looks lighter than quarters. Would say the same for my 95B. I think angle/lighting makes a huge difference. Why? On many (most?) cars I feel the body shape gradually converges front to rear and generally no major changes at body lines. F355 comparatively. The quarter is nearly dead flat against a straight edge. The lower door also, nearly dead straight against a straight edge. Bridge the two however and you find two dead straight converging angles rather than panels curved/blended into each other. 95B (best as I can tell original paint)...... But still, lower doors look lighter than quarters. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
95 B straight edge on quarter, then door, then bridged..... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Often something I wondered about. Agreed, it has to do with the angles of the panels and lighting conditions. Paint color such as Argento Nurburgring can accentuate this even more. Check out the differences of these three panels on my ‘98 F355. It made me often wonder if these were repainted, although no sign of that when examining the panels, or maintenance receipt history. Ferrari’s have terrible paint. Glasurite cars are better than PPG, but barely. Other makes do a much better job. Not unusual for factory to repaint a car due to damage during assembly. I look at my VIP pics on my 430 and it does not impress me. I love Ferrari, but the build quality always leaves me wanting more. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I’d consider that a 99% match. Wouldn’t bother me one bit. The dress is still blue and black to me. I never saw white and gold
And then he gave us bad valve guides. Honestly, I'm trying to figure out what you guys are complaining about with the paint. Good thing it not a trick color like Swaters Blue.
Alcala Technology (Instagram) just painted a whole entire 355 Rosso Corsa if anyone is curious to look for any mis-matched panels. They did paint the door and lower panel off the car. I would’ve painted it on the car to insure a better blend. Modificata also recently painted their entire 355 blue. See if you can spot a mis match.
