Looks much better in person IMO.

If the F8 was still available however, I don't think I would order this over it just because of the V8 sound. However, it should be undeniably a "better" car overall when it lands. The 296 however is also one of (if not the) best sounding V6's I've ever heard...so at least it has that. It should liven up with an aftermarket exhaust as well.

out of interest, what didn't you 'click with' with the SF90?

how was the sound, inside / outside?

Maybe just the size? I’m not sure exactly, as it was just an hour each time.. But I felt I could push the 296 a little within 2-3min of being in the car

The SF just took a lot longer to feel comfortable in

(Not saying it’s a bad thing.. With the size + 1000bhp)

The whole ‘fun to drive’ ethos of 296 is definitely apparent.. You just feel confident in it straight away

    Sound is surprisingly good..

    It’s not loud, but it’s a great note/tone.

I dropped the 296 off and drove back home in the Pista, and immediately noticed how much louder the Pista is..

These are NOT customer cars, not cars already delivered.
These are test drives with factory loaned cars.

In the 1st pic, from that angle the windshield-roof design reminded a bit of the Enzo, which is obviously a good thing. Still cannot warm to the soft-blunt front end though.

Great to see some shots of Rosso Corsa and Imola side by side. Both great for different reasons. Unsure which I like best

Can you describe your impressions between the 296 and the Pista ?

    Thanks

I hate to be a sucker for marketing, but really the best way to describe to the 296 is ‘fun’

But for me, the Pista is much more raw.

If you’re after something that’s more modern, updated, clearly fast etc - then the 296 really has impressed me.

If you’re after something louder, potentially sharper (hard to tell on the road with 296 as haven’t had track time yet) and just more raw and racey - then Pista.

    Oh

And, I know looks are subjective.. But I prefer the aggressive looks of the Pista vs the softer looks of the 296

(Though it really did look great in that yellow, and so much better in person than online)

Nice to finally see in Rosso Corsa. Such a pretty color - hard to move away from it.

Really want to see this in white...

    Thanks Marcel

My take on the colors- Gillo ( flat) takes away the awkward roofline. I would prefer Nero bicolor but not available.

    Imola looks great.

RC also flattens some of the lines for good or bad.

    Makes me rethink my color.
