It is a V12 in the video. No question of that. But it is more muted, similar to the FUV V12 mule we have heard in several videos.

Surely a consequence of new sound regulations. The GPFs aren’t helping either.

    I hear you (pun intended). I have a trifecta of NA 6-8-12 cylinder bliss. 2018 Porsche GT3, 2015 458 Spider and 2019 812 SF.

Under the mule's camouflage could be hidden some lines like the ones shown in your picture.

You are probably correct. But it begs the question, how do Lamborghini and Porsche get away with making epic sounding cars (GT3, GT4, Huracan, Aventador) while all the modern Ferrari (even the NA V12 in the video) models are stuck sounding like this or worse (TTV8 and TTv6)?

Let’s wait and see how the Aventador V12 replacement sounds. I think it’ll be the only fair comparison since each will need to comply with the same regulations in force by production launch.

Sounds like turbo indeed. Hard to think it would sound like that only because of GPF.

McLaren uses MFI, Lamborghini uses MFI (multi-port fuel injection or combination MFI+GDI), no need for GPFs as it is a more complete burn that GDI (gasoline direct injection) that Ferrari uses...

Porsche, for outside EU/CN, removes the GPFs, uses a 'dummy module'

as for sound level, I think the GPFs do a lot of that, essentially nullifying the upper rpm wail (anything about 5000 or 6000 rpm has its higher frequencies muffled because they are lost in the GPF honeycomb)

The induction sound is definitely N/A V12. The more muted exhaust sound is due to the new EU noise regulations.

I will say it. Sounds terrible. There! We are being conditioned for all electric that they are promising. So be it. Straight line acceleration and hundreds of additional pounds.

At 25s-30second period (and :45- :52 and 1:06 - 1:10, and more), did you notice how absolutely silent the downshifts are??

What is that? A new transmission? Some radical new silencer that all but eliminates the sounds of downshifts???

In the first picture were superimposed the front and rear of the Roma and all the remaining body is from the 812 SF.
By the way the different sections fit together so well I am now convinced that this mule is really a patchwork quilt built using the Roma and the 812 SF.

It appears to have the Roma’s deployable rear wing but it’s not moving and instead there is a noticeable fixed wing as part of the body work. I would think if it was a V12 Roma (or some other variant) the active aero would still be used.

The EVO does have GPF in some parts of the World like China but not in US, doubt Technica will either

Let's all rest in some confidence in Day355's recent comments......it will look and sound great.
Judging anything by these poorly constructed mule's is not the way to go....
I doubt Ferrari will launch a stinker of a car compared to Lamborghini.
They will also probably wait as to see what Lambo will do with the new Aventador and react accordingly.
Ferrari always seems to have the technical upperhand compared to Lambo.

Well I had both … 812 no GPF and 812 GTSS with GPF. the sound is identical at high rpm and at lower rpm is louder with gpf.
