Like several 458 owners, I have even been a bit surprised by the price increase during and post Covid. However, it seems like the last few months have been even crazier. I Purchased my 2013 458 spider in November 2019. The car was purchased from Ferrari Scottsdale. Granted, that was perfect timing given the unknown future at that time.

Last year, identical cars in mileage, year, options, etc. selling at Ferrari dealerships we’re going for 40,000 more than what I paid.

I have not looked in a while, but they are even crazier now. I Purchased my car with 16,000 miles for $180,000. I’m seeing that same model listed at Ferrari dealerships for $247,000.

That’s about right. Up about 100k from when I got mine with same mileage in March of last year. And still going and will I think.

Last 8 cylinder non turbo, interior design by M. Schumacher, last Ferrari designed by Piniforina . No it's not the fastest Ferrari on the block, but I believe it has status to become a true collectable!

I was approached by a salesman from an exotic dealership a couple of weeks ago who asked if I would want to sell my 2010 458 Italia.
He said that he would offer top dollar for it.
I simply said that I really didn't know what to replace it with. He said he totally understood.
I bought mine in May of 2020 with 9,000 miles on the odometer for $167,500.
I can't bring myself to sell this car. It is too perfect for the roads around here.
I know that the newer cars are incredible performers but the additional horsepower
seems wasted on the majority of roads.
I am sure the track is where you exercise these babies and extract the performance, but
for normal (?) driving I can't see having much more than what the 458 offers to
really enjoy the thrills it provides.
    Just my opinion.

I bought mine in March 20 for $194k w/ 4,200 on the clock. Now, w/ 7,400 on the clock, I am told from a friend in the biz, I can get close to $270k for her. However, as others have stated above, this is a keeper and will keep appreciating for the respective reasons...

I got into a debate with an F8 guy on another thread and look they are great cars too. But the 458 sounds incredible, and is also beautiful and a driver’s dream. I do not get the “it’s slower” mantra. The car still has incredible performance specs, you can’t drive these things at even 8/10 except on SOME tracks, and they are still six figures plus less than a Tributo. And did I mention they sound better?!

Exactly. We could sell.and make some great profit….but then what. There is not another mid-engine car out there I want regardless of the price. My 458 is going nowhere.

I added a 2014 FF two weeks ago to be my “other car.” To be honest, the 458 in bumpy road mode rides just as nice when playing a GT role. Reliable as hell. These things are just amazing. Period.
