When everyone was saying “sandbagging” I saw a car that was not at all sorted. Sometimes the drive to be innovative produces a turd.

conversely, sometimes it produces the F1-75. Ferrari is the team that got it right this time!

Did I say you said GOAT? You’re the one arguing so you can go play badminton (or with) yourself.

Whataboutism is lazy and tired but here: is HAM just back from a 3-year retirement?

while a good car certainly contributed to LH’s success, him winning with this car would be akin to Senna taking a wdc with the Toleman.

It’s Q1 so they are experimenting with different set ups. I wouldn’t put too much into the order there except to note the Merc is not on the order of Ferrari, Red Bull. Commentators should stop grouping them together.

Yes Ferrari have a superb machine. We knew the rules would show a surprise. I think many did not expect Mercedes to be so weak. I also am happy Ferrari are strong. I was expecting improvement but this is beyond my prediction!!

Byrne-designed Toleman was not a bad car actually and Senna has some decent results on merit. ;)

Anyway, the GOAT comment is a dig at the cognitive dissonance at the HAM fans used to seeing him up there at every session and thinking it was all down to him.

All u do is bring up Hamilton. Move on. Plenty of other drivers to
Focus on. Not healthy for u and bring 0 to the convo… Does his drive today deserve any credit or
Mention so far? Nope…. So why bring it up and then blame others u are tired of speaking about him lol
Just copy paste what u said billion times about him in your signature that way you can post about the race at hands ;)

I’m trying to give Merc the benefit of the doubt with the Toleman comment. They are still a strong organization and will figure somethings out, but you could be right that this car is not at that level.

Still highly impressed by Ferrari. We’ve been so used to them being on the back foot versus the other teams, but the Scuderia is the team that has it right with this formula. They have no discernible weaknesses and with the engine freeze through 2025, it could be a 3-year run of success (potentially)

Great to see Leclerc able to show that he rightfully belonged in the conversation of top drivers on the grid.

Agree and although a lot of people here are happy for LEC and commending his performances the majority of the comments here are mostly about being happy to see that Ferrari have a strong car this year. Because the car matters.

Yup. It will come in handy during a tricky or a bad situation, like starting from behind or taking a grid penalty.

It does take a driver to lead a strong car. Leclerc seems to keep it in shape while Sainz has brain fade too often. Trying too hard? Too anxious? Jeez
