Thank you - I am grateful. I have been searching and couldn’t find them.

Have you tried looking in the F430 driver's handbook?

Do you know where the battery is located?

For a moment, you confused me... AR1 and AR2 are relays, not fuses. The "R" signifies relays.

Thank you - but these are not the specific relays I was referring to.

I did find those diagrams but was specifically looking for the N006 50A relays and not the fans controlled by those fuses or smaller relays).

It turns out (thanks to the OP) that they are in the frunk - and not in the fuse panel that is found there - but actually hidden behind one of the side panels.

In order to access these 2 relays you have to remove the front and drivers side frunk panels (held together by at least 6-8 screws).

Yes - these are the 2 relays I was searching for.

I preventively replaced 13 relays - and it was only these last 2 (the 50A ones hidden behind the frunk panel) that showed signs of wear (burn marks, etc).

So, while everything was still working fine with no issues - the car is 15 years old and I would rather take easy preventative measures now than wait for something to happen. Plus - I enjoy working on the car … usually. :)

I noticed an individual relay in the brake system, too, but I don't know how hard it is to get to. It's buried in the dash somewhere. It's called L359 in the wiring diagrams.

I guess you changed the F1 pump relay?

    Thanks.

Yes - I replaced the F1 relay a couple of years ago with the Scud Ing relay and have had no issues with it.

Yes, when you order these "20 amp" relays, you will actually receive the 30 amp version, as the 20 amp is discontinued from Bosch.
The substitute 30 amp is Bosch # 0332011007

I ordered all the relays almost a year ago, but have not done this yet...I did find a substitute for the 50 amp Hella fuses. 70 amp Flosser brand that are supposed to be a direct equivalent. Flosser #2270 12vt 70 amp. I purchased them from autohausaz.com The thought is the 70 amp should be a bit more durable in service. Just as the 30 amp Bosch should be in place of the former 20 amp.

These 50 (or 70) amp relays are (can) also be used for the F1 pump relay.

I have been dragging my feet too (six months) but looking at some of the relays wear marks glad to be done. Just grab a 4mm "bike socket" instead of an allen wrench and bolts will come out quick. Move both seats fully forward and disconnect the front trunk power. A pair of needle nose pliers makes the old smaller relays come out easily. I conditioned the old connections with the DeoxIT and a few manual insertions of the new relays.

It is possible to access the two fan relays without removing any panels. Just a bit of folding back the panel and able to grab with my hand the first rear relay and then get a better hold on the further front one.

Someone had already swapped my F1 and PSR7 as they were the best condition units.(EAG swap?) Fan relays worst discoloring but expected from higher amps. I had sent off the scuding swiss F1 relay unit for fw update and finally got that installed too.

    Hi

I try to change all of the relays, and I did so... but only found one 50A relay, behind the drivers seat:

    Mercedes-Benz Multi Purpose Relay (4-Prong - 2 Large, 2 Small) (Black) 002542261928 - HELLA

And it is for the Fuel pump, not for the fans...
So this guy is only one piece. What am I missing, where is the other one?
    Thanks

Thanks! I read about the Scuding Swiss smart F1 pump relay, what benefit does that bring, if any? Is it worth 250 swiss francs

Supposedly is easier on the F1 pump and watches for faults. I picked up mine for peace of mind.
