I only know a handful of guys that ordered the GTB from my dealer, none of them have allocations as far as I know (but I haven't asked in several weeks).
My dealer indicated the GTS will base somewhere in the low $340's, but not sure where he got that info, likely just an educated guess.
I could swing another 30k but I’d drop likely the blue electrico I was after Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yup, special paint is always a big hit.....I'm sure the Rosso TRS I want will will put me in the $375K range before I even get to the carbon, interior, etc.. I'm expecting minimum $450K....and a 34 month wait!
I'm intrigued by the open top aspect, but am concerned the interior cabin space for tall folks like myself will be even less than on the GTB. This was the case on the 458... the Italia had extra room behind the seats to lean them back (thus giving me slightly more headroom). With the Spider the firewall was right up against the seat and thus didn't allow me to recline my seat as much. In the brief YouTube video of the GTS that appears to be the same thing going on here...
Perhaps they'll send the GTS on tour and you'll get an opportunity to sit in one, that's really the only way to know for sure. Reading comments from others "may" help, but if your height puts you on the edge, better to judge for yourself, especially given the body differences that can exist even with folks the same height.
I had the same concern. However, there were no issues sitting in a demo 246 GTS they showed in NYC last week. I am 6'3" tall and actually had to move the seat up a bit from the firewall to comfortably reach the pedals
F8 spider owner, but deposited 296 GTS in order to get ‘advantage’ for Purosangue reservation queue. Once I get a ticket to buy Purosangue, will most likely retract GTS deposit..
now that’s interesting. Did your SA suggest this would get you preference? I’ve got a GTB & GTS deposit but still no insight on PS opportunity.
I don’t know similar system is also working on other countries, but, Ferrari Korea seems to have a sort of internal (unofficial) customer grade system like below New comer Ex-customer : Purchased 1 car Important : Purchased 2 cars VIP: Purchased 3, but one of threes must be V12 Top: Purchased 4 more In same group, # of current reservation will be counting to differentiate members.. Based on this system, Upper ranker has advantage than lower ranker to reserve ‘first’ For example, heard that only 200~ Purosangue V12 will be allocated to Korea and Top/VIP graders are already more than 150 and expects almost of this Top/VIP will buy for upcoming SUV, So, only 50s are for remaining wannabes including me. Owning one and have one on order would not even put you in the low end of VIP status. In the freak chance they did give you a spot in the Purosangue queue pulling your GTS order would mostly result in you losing your spot. Also beware Ferrari monitor these boards.
I believe your post will remain in someone else's quote, so may be too late to delete. Keep in mind it's always Ferrari's way, or the highway.....and not in one of their new cars.
For what it's worth, I should be VIP/Top based on the above and I wasn't given an opportunity for a Purosangue V12.
the dealer will make sure GTS comes before the SUV and you will have to buy the GTS first. But that’s not bad at all. What’s not to like about the GTS. LOL
I wish I could have gotten a 812GTS allocation, but alas I only have one V12 and it wasn't enough to qualify I suppose.
Everyone should be more mindful that folks are representing their understanding of Ferrari in their respective regions. They are unique enough to merit some appreciation and respect that what is established in one may differ ever so significantly in another. I say get and enjoy the GTS ahead of the PS!
I can’t help but notice while reading through the posts here how we all struggle to keep up with Ferrari launching new models, keeping dealers happy and making decisions about keeping which car and letting go of what and how much money we usually end up loosing in the process. It took away from my pleasure and satisfaction for the longest time honestly, now I’m realizing that one should take things slow, enjoy each generation or model of Ferrari for what it is, stop comparing, accepting that this hobby is expensive and you shouldn’t view it as an opportunity to make money. Drive whatever Ferrari you got today, enjoy it, cherish it. When we’re lucky enough to have an allocation or be able to afford the next big thing then great, but for now I’m living the moment and not stressing about the future.
We lucked out and got a 296GTS allocation yesterday and put down a deposit. We ordered a new Roma. Looking forward to the 296!
Allocation or wait list? I don’t know if anyone has an allocation yet. What’s ur history with them? I’m still waiting on my 296 allocation, I prefer the gts’ front and back though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
