It looks like you could possibly match the colour to the paint swatch if you can find someone who has this 1970's era Pininfarina swatch book Jon. Other than that it maybe worth contacting Carrozzeria Zanasi in Maranello or Carrozzeria Brandoli or Cremonini Classic who will likely be able to help you with a formulation for the colour https://www.facebook.com/cremoniniclassic/

at about $4k for the paint chip book, i doubt anyone will loan it. check ebay.

 

To me the color on the 812 looks different ( darker, maybe lighting ) than the one on the Dino which looks so much better. If the one on the 812 is exactly the same and Ferrari did that would FNA not have the info you are looking for?

 

The 246 GTS in Nijinsky above is not in factory original paint. It was painted into this colour several years back now and from memory (I think there was a thread on here) they struggled to get the colour formulation at that point as well.

It is always nigh on impossible to use online photo's as accurate indicators of a colour due to camera settings, filters, photoshopping etc. The factory will have used a modern version of the colour formula for the 812 but getting them to release it will be difficult. I would trust the factory version on the 812 to be closer to the original as when I ordered a 458 spider in Rosso Dino back in 2012, it arrived and was identical to my 246 in the same colour.

 

Completely wrong color. Has zero to do with Verde Medio Nijinsky.

I have what appears to be the same book but it does not have that color. Mine has 23 colors.

 

Same here, and not only small items or parts, but also vintage cars.

I’ve also lend some of my equipment, tools, & other stuff, including vintage cars to friends for multi-day road trips/vacation use, etc and never had problems doing so.

 

I have asked a very reliable source in Maranello to source the paint code and formula on Jon's behalf and am confident we'll have a response soon. Additionally Roberto Bertaccini and I will be showing a Lamborghini Countach his company restored and Villa d' Este later this month, I'm sure he'll share what he can if my other efforts are unsuccessful.

 

Over the years, I have loaned plenty of things to Jon and never had any issues or any problems.

In fact, I was almost certain I had the book posted that has the specific paint color. I went out to go find it, and it’s the same book but it’s missing this color. I would’ve happily loaned it to Jon for such a cool project.

It’s a small world. You don’t survive long by being dumb and burning bridges.

What is the green color chip in your book?

 

it looks like there are two greens in that color book similar to what John posted.
