Not bourbon but I found this today. It’s been a couple of years since last time I ran into one. Image Unavailable, Please Login
While the middle one hasn't been opened i got a taste from the shop and man oh MAN all three are absolute winners. And they had a couple EW single barrels left on the shelf so i snagged a backup for the one I already had. For those who havent heard it will be a KY only release moving forward so if you arent near Bardstown or Louisville and your local still has some, recommend bigly that you pick one up. Unbelievable bottle at 30 bucks. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have to say, I was really impressed with the smoothness and flavor of the EC. Like you said, an incredible value for a great bourbon
It really is, these Private Barrel picks are absolutely mind-bending to be honest. Granted they're not Willett purple tops....but they also aren't priced anything LIKE a purple top either.
Found a bottle of this. I’ve never tried it but it’s been recommended to me. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Cracked open the Uncle Nearest. It’s great. I recommend. Also this thing came in. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I grabbed a bottle of Buffalo Trace Kosher Rye the other day. Not bad for $40. I'd never pay what it goes for on the secondary market though.
Dickel 15 year which is pretty impressive particularly for the money. Also grabbed an Old Fitzgerald 17 year. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I’ve got these. Not a huge fan of Japanese whiskey. Got any rare bourbon you want to trade? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not rare or anything but a neat experiment by the local boys (and by local the master distiller and I used to work together he's unbelievably smart). Can't go to the release this weekend with other plans but preordered and picking up a bottle next week. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Friends of mine ordered a barrel 11 years ago, forgot about it. To the their surprise got a delivery to Germany during lockdown last year. They said it's not for the faint hearted and I cannot wait to have a taste! Probably pulls tooth fillings out Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I haven't opened the OB yet. The UN is fantastic. It is now officially my go to $50 whiskey as long as I can find it. It's destined to be one of those bottles that every wants.
The UN 1884 is in virtually every store in my area. Do you know if the mash bill is rye or wheat based for the second ingredient? I tend to like rye based bourbons much more than wheaters.
I honestly haven't investigated it that deeply. Although it's officially neither a rye or a bourbon, it has the characteristics of a non wheated bourbon to my palette. I'm sure there are expert reviews of it available on the web which are going to be more qualified than mine. For now it's easy enough to find and it's not that expensive, so grab a bottle ... I'd be interested in your thoughts on it.
It was tuesday yesterday so....naturally the evening's cocktail was a little Taylor. Image Unavailable, Please Login
