How can you possibly make a Ferrari F355 cooler? Turns out one Le Mans winner has had a go at just that... Jeff Segal’s lightly fettled version of the superlative Nineties supercar has been made unapologetically to the owner’s spec. Watch Rob Dahm geek out over a proper high-revving future classic in Miami.

Was thinking the same thing. Still doesn’t sound as good as a capristo or tubi equipped car would.

When did just bolting on factory race parts became "Modding"?
This just seems like a half assed challenge conversion that sounds terrible.

Since factory built things have existed - what would you call it? Anything not stock is "modding." That can be anything from bolting on optional equipment that didn't come on the car, to half race conversions, to hand fabricated custom parts.

I wouldn't want a full challenge conversion on the street, it'd be a bit of a nightmare. The guy has an actual challenge car, too, so probably has a good idea of what would work in a street car vs. track car.

So So true in many ways, challenge car on street been there done that like they say

I would love a 355 with a modern long travel suspension that sits about an inch higher not to worry about speed bumps and drive ways

To be fair, the "mods" on Modificata, which are primarily 355 challenge/FHP parts with Ferrari part numbers are pretty much unobtainium. The car is still far from a standard 355.

Don’t be haters. I just like the fact the 355 is getting some love. As for street driven challenge cars, mine has some minimal changes that make it very streetable. I think all that is different is interior put back in, exhaust, softer springs, street brake pads, maybe a different clutch?? We also raised the ride height slightly. Currently it’s a more comfy ride than my 911 Turbo that is modded for the track.

Jeff outbid me on a 355 challenge evo on BAT last year. I wonder if this is the same car and this is what he had planned for it…
