I doubt it. F1 is so car dependent that a 5th place is where I’d expect him to be under normal race circumstances.
Finishing above any rbr or Ferrari without any luck would be an achievement

It would be good and (a progress) if Hamilton could keep that 5th place tomorrow.
Mercedes performance during practice was surprising, but they couldn't contain Ferrari and RB in qualifs when it mattered.
So I don't have high expectation for the race.

 

Agreed. They do seem to be slightly better on race pace so let’s see.

Congrats to Charles, Carlos and Ferrari. Good stint. I think it would have been more close if Max didn't make a mistake.
Tomorrow's race is going to be interesting. RB has good straight line speed so I think this race will be more of a team effort than going for individual gains.
Carlos needs to keep it tight and somehow prevent Max and Perez from jumping him, but I am not that confident. Sainz is not one of the good race starters so there's a good chance he could lose his position.
Red/Yellow flags, safety car are all a possibility especially in the early part wading through turn 15 under heavy fuel load.
Lastly.... someone please put a ban on that plastic litter. At this rate, there will be a lot of cars with that litter stuck somewhere and hurting aerodynamics of the car.

 

Feel disappointed for Danny given his downshift issue. Mclaren needs to sort out its issues as these negative results will only dampen his confidence.

Ah that explains a lot...it made no sense to be over a second off Norris on that lap otherwise.

 

After Jeddah my glass was still half full, as predicted the boys are now right back up there, I'm at 3/4 right now and expect it to be literally bubbling all over the Tifosi in Miami.

Providing Max doesn't revert to his default dive bomb style of old...
