Yes. And it couldn't possibly be anymore confusing. Some of the posts are from 2017 and just simply are not available anymore all you find is used on eBay... For example the tyco # which isn't even available is cross referenced to a GM # and that one's not even available except used or super super super expensive with limited quantity.
Hi Polo35, yesterday I renewed my relays and fuses box; if I can post a picture. to put clarity: currently the 9 fuses of the secondary services BOSCH 0332 019 151 have been replaced by these 0 986 AH0 251 for the 4 fuses of the pumps etc I bought Tyco *031 that I was able to find on Ebay.it. I miss now to buy the single Relays (Italmec) but one is a spare Fiat / Lancia and must see if available, the other is quite rare Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Also, I don't know if it's just a feeling, but with Tyco's having a pull-in of 6.5V rather than 7, it seems to have a "more ready" ignition
These are not really relays, but timers and speed controllers (with transistors, diodes, etc, inside). I don't see the need to change these. Do you normally change your engine management computers because they are old?
generally not but knowing my level of madness on these topics I might seriously speaking i would rather find them to have in case of breakage
As some of these simpler parts get harder to find, it would be much easier/cheaper to repair them. I don't know what's inside these modules, but things like doorlock modules are very basic... resistors, capacitors, mini relays and 3 legged transistors: Image Unavailable, Please Login
this is the electronics I appreciate, fixable with a good circuit soldering; It is therefore better to repair what is broken without going crazy looking for something else here we could also "open a chapter" on how to fix airflowmeters, which are no longer available except at exorbitant prices
Really? I just went to the post, looked at the relay part number I circled googled it and found these Bosch units (In Stock no less), the board uses like 11 of them. I also found the others. Read the post from the bottom up not top down. Every relay on that board in that post I just googled and found. https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-Automotive-0332019151-Relay/dp/B004Z0WHCA/ref=asc_df_B004Z0WHCA/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=316418868632&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4263337410574584282&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003677&hvtargid=pla-534915810397&psc=1
Very sorry....I should have elaborated. First of all I'm just looking to replace the 4 fuel related relays 0332014140. I'm chasing an intermittent hot start problem. I read stojanovics in depth analysis (from a link someone posted on this one) stating that 0332209151 is a poor substitute as the cut in/out specs differ from the original. He states that 0332209168 was a better choice, as well as the gm "brown" relay and it's cross reference counterparts......these are hard to source. On a positive note, I carefully opened up the 4 relays and took 1000 grit Emory paper and carefully cleaned up the contacts which were quite pitted and arched.....Will report back how they work or if the hot start issue is solved. I really appreciate all of the posts.
intermittent hot start problem - Voith have grease is in, does it make any clunking sound when you shut off when it hot? I would be surprised if its the relay but stranger thing have happened I imagine.
Indeed. Let's go back to your original post. The only thing which would cause the rev counter to be dead and running on 4 cylinders would be an issue with the Left ECU and associated wiring/sensors. The ECU power relay is a good start. Then things like a crank sensor.
I feel terrible hijacking this original post! The 60 second run down is.... The car had the dreaded hot start problem where it soundrd like a metal coffee can full of marbles when trying to start hot however I recently repacked the voith and it is quiet as a mouse and significantly rediced the severity of the problem.....I also replaced both fuel pressure regulators...the car runs extremely well overall but on a really really hot day here in Fla. sometimes It just doesn't want to start right away when hot... I actually have to put the petal to the floor! I also cleaned the crank sensors but did not replace them yet.
Doesn't want to start... you mean like it doesn't crank or you mean like cranks and doesn't fire or crank slowly what do you mean? Sent using FerrariChat.com mobile app
My apologies.... when hot, intermittently, it hesitates to start. It stutters, rattles, misfires but ultimately will start every time usually after applying some gas pedal.
Ah... thanks... I missed that (or forgot it). If your tacho is ok, Matt, then it's probably not likely that your left bank crank sensor is bad... That's Teo's (possible) issue. OK, Voith done, crank sensors inspected, battery good, relays on your hit list, throttle input improves the situation... Now I'm back up to speed.
Since I replaced the relay, the problem has not occurred and everything seems to be back to normal! do you have the additional relay modification? i don't even think it's a problem with the "additional relay" on the ignition that Polo has, because if it is, the contact on the ignition switch shouldn't even be giving power.
I bought the GM *031 relays from this seller who seems to always have them available: jwal7290 su eBay
Awesome information and I'm encouraged that this might be the final fix.. I took Ferrarium's advice and ordered 4 of the 151 Bosh relays, which from what I hear are not quite to desired spec, but I at least have to give them a try and will report back ASAP. PS I do have the starter relay mod. And last night, just on principle I removed and cleaned both battery terminals and meticulously
But did you get 4 for the pumps and injectors? because the *151's are fine for general service but not great for ignition; here is the extract from the link discussion that was posted by Ferrarium: ""TE" means Tyco. Bosch had a couple of equivalents to their old 0 332 014 140: 0 332 019 140 and 0 332 209 168 but these are also hard to find. These relays a re a bit special as they are "low pull-in voltage" type, i.e. they have stronger solenoid coils and can engage at as low as 7 volt. I found out that one, possibly fairly new, Bosch equivalent is 0 332 209 136 which is GM p/n 90491314. This GM p/n is also manufactured by other relay manufacturers like: Hella 4RD 007 794-05, Siemens V23134-A52-X237 ant Tyco (TE) V23234-A0002-X031 (or X032) which has even lower (better) pull-in voltage of 6.5 volt . I do not have the specs for the Tyco relays (4) you got for the fuel pumps and injectors but I presume they are similar to the Tyco number I mentioned." you may search the Bosch *136 fot that I must say that with the tyco 6.5 pull-in would really seem that the start is more reactive
I think the later cars used the 151 out of the factory the earlier cars used different ones. But, when you order the relay from Ferrari, guess what you get? You guessed it, 151 Bosh relay. I know I did it.
