    Heading to Maui for 7 days in August on the way back from Canada. Will be getting a rental car. Any suggestions for nice accomodation? Prefer sea views with a nice beach.

    We stayed at the Grand Wailea a few years ago and found it to be quite outstanding. The beach out front is nearly perfect and if you're bringing kids, the water park is totally out of this world. We had a great time.

    The four seasons club level service is beyond anything offered on the island. Makes the ritz look like a motel 6! We spend 2 months a year on the islands. Can’t go wrong with the four seasons. The best one, imho is the Hualalai resort on the big island.

    Sheraton Black Rock in Ka'anapali ... specifically Building 6. Perched on the edge of the cliff directly on the ocean with a view of Molokai in the distance.

    i stayed there yrs ago. agree that its a great view and private but i didnt like that it was a long walk to everything.
