They do have, in the form of more development time depending on where they finish off in the previous season. The teams at the bottom get more CFD time. Hence, some visible improvements in performance for Haas and Alfa Romeo. Although, I am not sure if they get more monetary allocation.
Regarding development of PU, I think it is what makes this sport to be at the top among other motorsports. Hence the difficulty in coming to common grounds when it comes to generic engine.

That guy is a complete tool. Brundle should have throat punched him! :)

Why/how these idiot are "famous" is beyond me. The last thing F1 should do is give them any type of attention.

people that are famous for "being famous" just doesn't make sense to me, not my age group! One other thing about the broadcasts that I would like to see is a more in depth look at the circuit, especially the new ones or when F1 returns to Imola/Turkey/Mugello, etc. What we get now is a 10 second spinning graphic that shows the turn numbers and DRS zones all at once, at least the US NBC broadcast would have a driver or David Hobbs/Steve Matchet talking you through a lap. Oh well.

Anyway, watching the F1.com video of best radio messages, Alpine was telling Ocon to slow the group behind near the end when they knew ALO had the first 5 second penalty coming, and OCO tells them he'll just get passed up if he slows down! Wasn't thinking of that during the race, but it makes sense. Shows how all the teams fight for every point.

In their top 10 highlights, plenty of Haas action in there, so while some of it was contact caused by both drivers, they are fighting on track and that's a good thing, now they just need to keep it clean. I'm still thinking Stroll tends to weave on the straights while defending, depending on the camera angles. Maybe his dad can sell to Audi and break even. If so, maybe Lance needs to update his resume.

Totally agree ! I still can't understand why they are given so much exposure in sport.

The grid walk, for instance, should be about the racers, not about "celebrities".

Who needs to see "show offs" on the screen before a race ? Brundle and Co should completely ignore them.

To be famous now you just need some money and a instagram page.
For girls it's even easier, just good looks and a Instagram page.
So a lot of "famous" people.

Not sure its a loss. Was glitz and glam maybe, good race, not as much. It was too much show and not enough F1 race. Ok lets see how long they are on the calendar now lol :)

How about unlimited testing and no budget cap, while the top 7 teams have both.

It is testing that is needed.

Here, I agree with Vettel--bring back the V10s.

Consider the 2004 cars, 600 Kg with 900 HP compared to 1,000 HP and 800 Kg. The lighter cars accelerate faster, decelerate faster, but reach a lower top speed, and look better being wrestled around the tracks.

    True.

Fast Forward through the first 40 laps. The remaining 17 were good. Relatively speaking.

Opening laps and closing laps where great. Shortly before the SC I was thinking that it was the most boring GP of the year....of course not all can be exciting but for the amount this race was hyped it was a disappointment for sure.

They're not all going to be a continuous back-and-forth dice for the lead. I think LEC did a fine job keeping reasonably close to VER most of the time.

One word which often gets repeated in the parlance of F1 this year and which needs to be added to its vocabulary..
    "DRS TRAIN!!"
You can follow as much closely as you want, but thou shall not overtake.
The most boring part is when cameraman turns his focus onto the train in anticipation that there will be some overtake, but none takes place.Mostly, when straights aren't long.

I despise the excuse of "DRS Train". Mercedes used that excuse in Imola and now it's part of constant excuses. Just call it what it is, Merc. You don't suddenly have a car with a 40km/h advantage and now they're sulking.

The train affects the midfield all. Mercedes is lead mid pack team. Bottas was affected in earlier races. Only Ferrari and RedBull are working up and lapping the field.

The effect seems worse than last year it seems thus far.
