forks do not align with stub/pin upon closure. any advice how to adjust?
Not too hard to fix. There are 3 bolts that hold the top bracket to the car frame. One is visible and the other two are behind the carpet that is behind part of the top bracket. Pull out the carpet from behind the bracket. Loosen the three bolts (do not remove) and use a small crow bar to lift the top bracket and then while still pushing up on the top bracket, tighten the three bolts.

Gently pull the carpet between the top frame and the side of the door jamb. The two bolts are behind the carpet.

Ok, no amount of movement will close this gap. I’ve got a lot of play in the “fork” compared to the offside… What else can I check?
In the past I have removed the entire assembly and e- longgated the holes with a die grinder to get that little bit. Be aware..for every action on these tops..there is indeed an opposite reaction. You will find drawing the top closed with the windshield latch will be more difficult. That area is also adjustable SLIGHTLY. The 355 power roof is perhaps the worst device ever installed in a motor vehicle. They should have just left it manual operation like the 348. Good luck.

If I push the fork onto the pin, then let it finish, yes, everything aligns correctly and closes properly. If I don’t, and it doesn’t sit in the pin, then no, it falls short and twists to the near side.
Just been out to try to tighten the pin bolt. It’s absolutely solid, no movement. Here are a couple more pictures showing the relative position of the fork for the drivers side and the passenger side. Right, I seem to have sorted it. I slackened off the 3 mounting nuts, slackened off the pin bolt, slackened off the 3 small roof bracket nuts. Stuck it all under tension with a crowbar, and tightened everything back up again. I had done all 3 of those things in isolation, but in desperation I decided to do them all in one go... and it appears to have worked! - so I'll take that. Thanks guys.
He's probably referring to the 3 small nuts on the B pillar (above the window line). Of course, the B pillar is part of the roof. I was looking at these a few days ago, wondering what they did.
Yep, those ones. I noticed that as the roof moved up, the rubber seal on that arm was causing extra resistance as the fork moved. I had about 3mm or so of adjustment in it to lessen the pressure of the seal. whether that had a material effect, I don’t know!
