    That is NOT an apples-to-apples comparison at all. Not a private owner to private owner transaction.

    Based on the article, the MB Factory Museum is "selling" (sounds more like a lease with the rumored stipulations) one of its prized jewels.

    If the Ferrari museum were to do the same (have they ever?) I imagine it would fetch a similar sum or more.

    Possible car manufactures are now realizing interest in these cars is going to start to fade away as EV starts to take hold. Might as well cash out while they can I suppose. Keep one or 2 in the museum..sell off the rest.

    Sad as it may be. Such beautiful cars..more art then anything else really.
