Can you narrow it down for me? Googling "auto fanatics" returns a very large number of shops

Been thinking about it and I don't think the longer adjuster is the right way to go. The shift linkage in a conversion needs two things: 1) a link to connect the counterweight rubber sandwich thing to the gear selector shaft on the transmission, and 2) an additional ~1.5" length built somewhere into the linkage to compensate for the shorter length of the selector shaft on the F1 gearbox. It makes sense to solve both these problems by making one part, not two.

I don't follow your logic here. It seems like the anti-vibration bar buffer part should be used with all manual conversions and that would connect to the gear selector shaft as normal. If the F1 gear selector shaft length is 1.5" shorter, then it seems like a longer adjuster linkage would be ideal to compensate. There is something about the difference between the manual and F1 gear selector input shaft that I do not yet grasp. I am planning a manual conversion in the next year or two so am very interested in this.

The difference is very simple, the F1 shaft is shorter and takes a vertical bolt and the manual shaft is longer takes a horizontal one. That's why the piece connecting the bar buffer to the shaft is different lengths between the two in addition to the different bolt orientation. Making the adjuster longer only solves one of the two problems. Much simpler to solve both problems with one part, a custom linkage between the bar buffer and F1 gear selector shaft.

I’d be interested to see if the panel is complete with seals and latches etc. If not you have to find all that too.

So the upholster have started work on targa roof + the two spots behind targa roof. Targa roof + spots rear will be trimmed in Connolly leather. Stradale Vintage Cars have sourced right type of Connolly leather for this area see post #137 :p
