Strange then how he managed to lock up all 4 wheels, despite experiencing "brake failure"? To me it seemed that he was starting to take liberties with the car too soon, he looked a bit ragged from the very beginning. Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date Stranger still, after stuffing it he then decided to continue, past the entry to the pits which was just across the track. We can only imagine how blunt Niki Lauda's assessment would have been! Well, it could have been worse. Here's Mike Wilds in the ex-Villeneuve 312 T4 "034" at Goodwood in '94.
At least I hope he already has spent his yearly quota of Monaco catastrophes with this and has a smooth "real" GP.
Nine hours of incredibly nostalgic racing and all you can talk about is leclerc sliding into the barrier How about the Cooper trying to force the issue on the number four Ferrari at st devote or the guy who spun at mirabeau and backed down to Loews hairpin Monaco is the soul of formula one watching the years roar past is priceless Great cars, great drivers, pure passion Sadly we have to wait two years to see it again
Without the shouting commentary can hear well the Ferrari roar!Including Charles explaining to Jacky what happened ..en Francais
Yes the negativity here is sad, he clearly stated that the brakes went and was lucky to be able to spin it around or he might have broken ankles and Max would walk to the title. Charles has always been very honest and recognizes his errors, he is quite brutal with himself so in this case the brakes went. He may have pushed them more than the car's usual driver)s) that happens too.

And then there’s this exhibition of rally/racing in an old Maserati. Quite spectacular but not sure if it’s the fastest way around here: Tweet— Twitter API (@user) date
That is one of the sons of the owner of the Breadvan, a very nice guy, student in a US university. He can drive! Back then sliding did not cost time, plus the 250F was known for brilliant balance...and Fangio won the title in them after some incredible drives. At Rouen he was doing the whole fearsome downhill high speed esses in four wheel drifts.
Anyone else wish they still wrote the drivers’ names in script on the side of the car? It looks so cool and smart.
Pretty sad how on a ferrarichat F1 forum topic people question Leclerc's driving when the brakes fail on him in an exhibition lap with an almost 50 year old car; on top of that, some start these crazy theories that maybe Lec and Ferrari are lying and he just crashed...like c'mon, I know it's hard for Max-tards, but try to live atleast in some form of reality.
