Good idea, if this give you peace of mind. I think the US bumpers have side marker holes. European versions don't.

Thanks! I can’t find a US one so I’ll just buy a EU one.

Unless anyone knows of a newly manufactured US one that isn’t $5k lol. They should be $1200-1800 if aftermarket. God forbid I damage the car, I’d just file a claim.

I’m going to paint and build out the spare with the grill too so it looks good on the shelf but it’s more for a temporary replacement in the event of curb rash while the OEM one is being repaired.

Did some 599’s come with rear only parking sensors?

My current front bumper doesn’t have parking sensors but the rear does. I’m ordering a spare bumper for about $6k and will get it painted and grill put in for a sweet garage accent and backup. So I’m wondering the spec to buy.

Look, I cracked mine and had it repaired at Karosserie for less than that unit.

Yea, I know but I hate the idea of patch work on a car that will be worth a lot one day and I intend to keep it until I sell it late into retirement. I’m negotiating on price as I may buy a lot of other stuff for my F430.

Regarding parking sensors: I found a place that sold me my original window sticker. It had the option for rear sensors only. Interesting!

As far as I know, the front parking sensors were an extra for 612 and 599s. At least during the beginning of the production cycle.

There were two options on the 599 GTO and I assume also on the 599. One was for rear parking sensors and one was for front and rear parking sensors.

I was happy to find a 612 without the ugly front parking sensors.
When I was born I was equiped with a pair of eyes. They will do the job.

We shouldn’t assume blind people can’t afford a Ferrari 612. They’d need parking sensors.
