    There's no way Aston thought of an exact Red Bull copy since november and produced their first car...

    The real argument is that Dan Fellows leaked red bull IP to Aston before he worked there.

    Or 2 design teams reached more or less the same conclusion working separately ? It happens in aeronautics.

    Teams have to prove to the FIA the historic of their CAD research, drawings, calculations to validate their design when claiming their IP.

    The funny side is that Christian Horner kept taunting Toto Wolff about poaching 50 of his engineers/technicians, when himself lost staff to Aston Martin.

    FIA said the same thing about the “Pink Merc” and didn’t do anything until Renault pressured them to do so using the specific example of the brake duct.

    As @Bas noted, there is no way AM came up with that design without knowledge of the RB design. They may have had a ‘plan B’ design with inclined rads but for sure they were guided towards this by their aero guy ahead of him joining. And for sure the surfacing of the side pods was absolutely influenced by the RB everything at Bahrain.

    The Alpine is also quite similar to the Red Bull, it may be coincidence. Must be noted that the idea is the same but the design is different, not like the pink Mercedes that was identical to the last line and curvature.
