I don't follow the 430s that closely, you can't help but notice the recent prices on BaT! This swapped car should be a pretty good indicator with a nearly identical one earlier. I didn't look at any of the details for these cars. The 2008 was not red/tan.

I purchased this one. Redoing a lot of the interior. I think it sort of looks like lipstick exploded inside.

I have a TDF blue gated Modena with Bordeaux interior. Like yours the upper dash was ordered in Bordeaux. Why not keep the colors as they are. Looks great with Grigio. I did buy black factory carpet mats to add a bit of contrast.

Congrats! Ironic that you quoted my post. My car came with a Bordeaux interior also and the first thing I did was rip all the carpeting out and replace it with Nero. Let me know if you need any info if you are DIY'ing.

Beautiful car! As the last poster said I just wanted some contrast. Especially with the black soft top

I needed new seats and wanted Daytonas. The best pair I could find were black so I decided to Create a two tone interior with most of the black below eye level. The carpet is still Bordeaux as is everything above the midline including the leather wrapped roll bars. Keeping the Bordeaux carpet but with black mats

Also the metal door panels were in pretty bad shape so that gave me the excuse to replace almost all of the metal with CF. The only thing left in the center tunnel which I will eventually do.

Again coordinated contrast to match the seats and new steering wheel was the goal. Also keep in mind that I don’t intend on trying to “retain the value” of the car. I plan to drive the hell out of it! So I wanted something tasteful but unique.

 

you also have a black steering wheel so you have some natural contrast as well to break up the mono home look that’s what Im going for.

 

Ha. Nice job! I’m having it done by a professional due to the leather reupholstering on the lower dash pieces which is too tricky for me. They are also rebuilding the sub box with some real speakers. That too will be black. Will post pics when done.

where is this located?

 

A 2000 gated 360 Modena with 10,000 miles just sold on BaT for $151,360 (including BaT fee). I would have expected 175K. Any thoughts on why it didn’t bring a higher price.

 

For some reason the gated 355 and 430s are going for 200+ and the 360s aren’t breaking 140. Strange.

On 2-28-22 a red/tan gated 16,000 mile Modena sold on BaT for 183+5=188K. It seems to me that the severe problems in the financial markets are impacting many markets including collector cars.

 

Then I can’t understand the 355 going for more now than any other 360 in the past 6 months

 

I think they appeal to a slightly different demographic, one's probably started to pull back on YOLO a bit and the other hasn't gotten there yet. This is exacerbated by in a rising market people want to hold on to see where it goes, but a softening market you see lots of people rush to sell.

 

I agree, compared to the earlier 2-28 BaT auction, it seems like it could have gone higher!
I really don't get why the 355s are going for what they are and I think the 430s are way over their skis price-wise. I think the 430 prices are aspirational for 360s in the future. Mostly a question of when... I don't think soon in terms of 1-3 years, but 5-10-15 years.
