    As some of you may know, I bought the 86’ Nero/Nero 328GTB that sold on BaT earlier this week. Just registered it at AAA this morning— took all of 15 minutes. Drive impression: simply awesome and super fun!!! Reminds me of driving my 72 Dino but with more power and of course more refinements. Will definitely be driving this car and will add to the 24K miles that are on it!

    Welcome to the nero-nero club! After that $320k one sold a while back, all of a sudden we're seeing every black 3x8 come out for sale, LOL. Now, put some miles on that baby and pamper it. Congrats!

    I am going to put the original shift knob back on (I have it). I also do not like the non original pedals—will correct that as well. There are some other odds and ends to correct but all manageable.

    TBF, the black on black 328 that sold for $320K was boosted a fair old bit by being an ex-Chad McQueen car.

    Whilst he's not quite as cool as his Dad, Steve McQueen was - He's still waaaay cooler than most of us! :cool:

    Yes, but Steve was a Porsche guy and Chad is barely known. Plus, Chad bought the car used, not new. So IMO Chad's ownership was well overvalued. I don't think it should have gone past 200k. But much was made about it being the only US market, 1989, "B" black on black and the peanut gallery went crazy over it.

    Drives great too— just took it for a spin up to La Jolla— man, the engine sounds awesome at 6K rpm!!

    I didn't remeber saw many stuff to correct on the car except the fender shields

    Correct re shields. Also need to replace valve stem covers, 1 wrong hose in engine area and some other items. For the Dino I have the Compendium as a resource— will need to find good 328 reference materials. By the way, my car has 2 sets of keys—2 of the folding ones which are identical except 1 is red and the other black. Was that standard?
