    How? He drove well today.

When I started this thread it was all after Bahrain and his defense on max. I was always talking about, personally, the fact that many trolls on this forum rate it as terrible whilst his racing pace and talents were good.
He is having a bad season with bad luck but it’s not vettel bad yet.
Sadly as every thread with Hamilton this disgressed to who he is as a person, fashion, p&l and all that stuff.

In this instance, I do admit that Hill was over ambitious and rammed his opponent.

Debatable. The new generation is less encline to condone violence and aggression.

Sportsman yes, not very difficult, Schumacher was the ultimate a@@hole on track.
But driver? Nah not even close and I really didn’t like one bit MSC but it’s the truth.

Karma in regards to all the people who kept said the past few years it wasn’t the car, he’s the goat, etc., etc. This year clearly proves the car was indeed a major factor to his success. If it wasn’t he wouldn’t be struggling this year. I think Russell is going to make him look even worse as the season goes on.

That’s just my opinion though. I’m admittedly biased in that I can’t stand Hamilton or Toto. They’ve been spoiled for a few years with an amazing car and little to no real competition. This year they’re going to have to earn it the hard way. Seeing and hearing them whining and struggling frankly makes me happy. I know it’s petty but I just can’t help but love it. :) Almost as satisfying as watching the championship being snatched away from them and Toto’s ensuing temper tantrum. ;)

Lol, afterall it’s the only joy I’ll have this year as the Scuderia is sure to screw things up as usual. :)

I respect your opinion but I’d like to offer perspective on the earn it the hard way part. One can agree with you that the drivers and Toto to some extend had it easy the past years and so forth…
There is, however, a fine line between earnt and given.
I personally think that the Mercedes team,& engineers and so forth truly worked their butt off for 8 years, so much that it looked easy but behind that was tremendous work and effort.

Oh I 100% agree with this. The Mercedes engineers and strategists won those championships IMO. They gave Hamilton a car that was light years ahead of everyone else. As a team they are unrivaled in their organization and tenacity.

Agreed, Senna and MSC changed F1 from reasonably "gentlemanly" racing to "win at any cost" racing.

The so called "goat" is sitting 6th in championship points. His team mate is fourth. ;)

Wonder if the Germans find that funny? :)

Seeing as Ham doesnt look concerned, and its already known that merc have told GR to concetrate on his performance while LH is doing all the problem solving......

    "
Brawn, though, understands Hamilton is compromising his own races to gather data for Mercedes and find solutions for their problems, while Russell has then been free to follow a “more conventional path”.

“These first few races he’s been looking for the solutions and in doing so, he’s been ping-ponging around with different set-ups on the car, trying to reach the solutions,” said Brawn of Hamilton’s strategy.

“That’s the feedback I get from the team, while George is following a more conventional path…and Lewis is trying to set out to solve the problem."

Think you will find Ham is hurting his performance for the benefit of the team.

Lewis ran sensors at the AustralianGP....that's it.

Show me a credible article or tweet that says "Lewis is sacrificing his performance for the team in all 5 races."

    I don't believe that for a millisecond.

Hamilton is the most narcissistic, egotistical , entitled driver there is. No way in hell he's taking a backseat to help Russell.

Believe you've got Lewis and Max confused. Max is running the "1" on his car. Lewis never did, a narcissist would most definitely run the "1" on their car.

    What a load of crap.

The exact same nonsense could be said of Vettel at Ferrari :)

"Vettel would have been world champion for 5 years with Ferrari, except he was looking for solutions and trying to solve problems ... sacrificing his performance for the benefit of the team, don't ya know." :D :D

In fact, the same could be said of any driver over the past several years ... which would, of course, put a huge asterisk next to anyone who did win a championship over the past several years (well, the other top drivers were too busy sacrificing their own performance for the benefit of their teams, don't ya know).

Ofc Brawn might be wrong, but if he says the team says so, and you say other wise, no offence like, but Brawn is my preferred believable source and ill take his direct quotes over your forum comment.

During his time as a driver, absolutely.
