FYI after experimenting with a few options I have settled on using the Blendmount BR7-2001R to mount my Uniden R7 in my F12. This mount does reduce the upward range of adjustment of the rear view mirror so it may not work for everyone but I was able to get it arranged where I have a perfect view out the rear window and have the device mounted just where I want it. To me personally this is vastly preferable to using a suction cup. I've now put about 3,000 miles on the car with this setup including lots of spirited driving on some pretty rough surfaces and have not experienced any issues. The Blendmount site lists this as a generic mount and does not indicate that it is compatible with the F12 but if you are a big Blendmount fan disappointed at the lack of a solution for these cars it's worth a shot to see if it works for you and your seating position. I realize this is couple years old, but maybe you or someone else will see it - how tall of a guy are you?
sorry forgot to quote. Maybe you will see this or someone else that has used this blendmount for the F12 you listed - how tall of a guy are you? I am 6’2.
Same height as you. My car has the carbon racing seats. A tape measure says my eyes are about 7" down from the ceiling in my normal seating position which has the seat moved almost all of the way back. While I didn't test anything other than the position that works for me personally I don't expect the viewing angle to be that much of a problem for people of different heights. My recollection is that it was more of a situation where you want to get the mirror adjusted as you want it prior to installing the Blendmount. You can still adjust the mirror somewhat afterwards but the range of motion is limited vs. having nothing attached to the mirror. More of a caution to people who plan to have multiple regular drivers of their car of different heights.
